Good idea to offer a truck between the trx, and regular 1500, just never detune the trx, because trx buyers aren't buying them for their fuel economy, those people go to Toyota and buy a prius.

A 392 variant (at a significantly reduced cost) would be a tasty offering IMO !

Always thought a 392 1500 of some kind would be a no-brainer.

485 hp more than enough power to have a lot of fun. Trucks are not like the cars their is so much wind resistance and the weight. Ask me how I know since I have a 770 hp super snake that beat the TRX and trust me at 85mph plus the trucks inertia is huge you hit a wall.

Fixing the TRX's awful fuel economy with a slightly less powerful engine wouldn't ruin the fun.
https://www.motortrend.com/news/ram-1500-trx-fuel-economy-hemi-392-speculation/
Ooh, it would be great if they released a 392 version. Or better yet, one with the Ecodiesel.

I've wondered how the heck to make the TRX look more like a regular 1500. Unlike a 'Cat, or Trackhawk, where a simple debadging does the job, it won't be that easy with a TRX.
Unless they become available with a lesser engine.

I will start lobbying Stellantis today.

I haven't seen any truck I would trade my GMC 6.2 with a Banks tune for. It's a 4X4 short bed daley driver. If Ram builds the 1500 with the 392; I will own it.(y)

That's only because you haven't seen my Chevy with a 6.2 and a Banks turbo.
And yes, it's a diesel.

Do you actually drive that boat anchor? Why not a Duramax?

So basically an SRT TRX. Unless the price gap was enormous I'd stay with the HC TRX. People certainly arent buying these with even one iota of mpg concern. The author needs to be shot

Because it works just fine for what I'm using it for now...pulling trailers on the property.

TRX buyers want it as designed.

Eldest son has a TRX on order. Youngest son has a Raptor. I have a 2500 HD-Diesel. All three trucks are black.

Gonna be an interesting Family Photo.

Umm, guess I'm not a buyer then.
I'd like mine to run like this... DSCN3799[1].JPG

...but look like this.

Isn't the M1031 a pick up?
