For those of you that have them, what do you use to clean and protect your carbon fibre stripes? I have been using Meguiars Ultimate detailing spray which seems to clean ok, just not sure on UV protection.

I put 303 Protectant on mine (the gray plastic trim bits as well) with a foam block. Seems to work well.

Do you just wipe it on and leave it or does it need to be buffed out? The dealer I bought my HC from is getting new stripes for the trunk. It looked like someone had used a chemical that bleached a spot on it. I dont want to make the same mistake.

Mike D1-I had never heard of 303 products before, is this the type you use?

I had issues with mine as well, but didn't want the dealer to mess with them & the 303 (over time) has 'evened' them out for the most part.

I used to sort of lightly buff the excess, but I've found it's just easier to go VERY sparingly on applying the product to begin with. I spritz it on one of these microfiber covered sponges:
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...sponge&qid=1593480246&s=beauty&sr=1-2-catcorr
then wipe the foam block over that to get product on and rub it in going up & down length wise. If spots seem too dry, you can always hit them with the sponge then blend by wiping with the block.

For the grey bits I just use to MF sponge thing (after doing the stripes) and give them a quick wipe with a MF towel to level it out.
