Check your airbox - missing air filter

Just had my TRX at the dealer for the second oil change and they discovered a missing air filter. The truck has two paper filter elements side-by-side but if one is missing, it’s the same as not having a filter at all. The air box had never been opened so it had to have come from the factory that way. I live in the southwest where there is plenty of sand and dust so who knows what got sucked into the engine. Let me know if any of you have had the same issue. Trying to get a warranty extension but have been stonewalled so far.

Never heard of that.

Did the one that was in it have the "factory installed" stamp on it.like the oil filters?

Ask for an extended warranty!
