Yeah, that's sick. If only dodge would make something similar. 🤔

Cool but apples and oranges compared to our price range and style…

Cannot even buy a new Hellcat! No apple to compare to their new orange!

Well let’s see. Price range— ‘15 was $64k. ‘19 was $92k. Mopar stopped at about $100k plus a Demon or two in the same price range as the Z06 is today, and I would have the Vette, I got plenty of a Redeye in the garage. Currently a C8 is easy to buy less than $100k. Some of us are ready to either buy more new or move up. Mopar has shit, so at least Chev has some exciting stuff. While the electric ZR1 may be a bit expensive, lots of stuff is available for a comparable reasonable price. How much are loaded pickups and SUV’s???

Style? I’ll hold my negative comments about the Challenger that looks like a Cuda of 1970 since we are on a Challenger Forum. But IMO, that Corvette is blowing stuff worth lots more away. Plus it has an entire new design with the engine placement, hybrid tech and its suspension. Not to mention what they did for exterior design.

What has Mopar done for us recently? Oh besides say they have “jailbreaks” that allow former selections of colors and items to combine that were free before, but cost people tens of thousands of dollars recently?

Worst kept secret.

I'm glad its here. Corvette has been kicking in teeth for a while now on the world stage. And people still bitch about it.

The company hired the wrong guy to run it.
Only play in his book was "cut"

Worked out well when the company was humming along. But at some point, you have to have something.

Chevy never did shy away from the Corvette or the V8. Now they are reaping those rewards.

As for Dodge, they could easily sell a 200k Viper/exotic. Plenty of 170 buyers were stepping up to the 150-200k plate to buy one. Now imagine if the car being sold was actually worth 200k???
Also, Chevy just killed markups for the ZR1 with this. Already something better than the ZR1, who wants to pay ZR1X prices for a ZR1?
Z06 has huge discounts on them now. 18 months ago, they still commanded a premium and dealers laughed at you for asking for msrp.

Dodge could learn something from this. Make a new Demon. And just sell as many of them as you can instead of making them limited editions.
Then build a bad ass Corvette fighter. Make something "base" (or give that to Chrysler) to help spread overhead across units. Then make some bad ass stuff with high sticker/high margins to pad that bottom line.

Not a GM fan for a long time now (even tho I worked for them) and many Vett body styles do nothing for me.

That said I do like the newest iteration's styling but it is still a car that is difficult to get in & out of unless you are 'in shape'. It is what it is & I understand why it's that way, just never going to be an option for me.

I will never be a chevy guy so it doesn't matter. I have been one to take less and make it faster. Even if this were a Dodge, way out of my price range. I know I have a capable 8 second car at a fraction of what this car will cost. Will it corner like it, nope but I don't do that

For me I would take the last Ford GT if I had the money. Would cost more then this car and would be slower but it is far more beautiful to look at

True. I had to climb in and out of two of them last month. Worse was the McLaren I also tried. I just stood there for a minute and looked at that situation.

I heard a street tale about a Viper at C&C a couple of weeks ago. It could be good, but I do not believe any of it. I want to be wrong.

I would prefer a car that would accommodate my dog AND wife! And at $200k + ADM, I think a used HC would be preferable.
