Yeah, I've not heard of that. There was a similar issue that was pretty well known on 5.7s and happened to my buddy's Ram though.

Must be talking about the potential future problems due to the potential cylinder deactivation system.

That part is stupid. I look forward to the day I remove my PCM for its unlock and get a tune loaded to stop that BS.

Will this be yer first Wrangler ever?

IF we actually get one, but it doesn't seem to be impressing the wife, and being that it will replace her old Durango, it doesn't seem likely to happen.

@Speedy! Thoughts on your experience being tied to the fact that it was a rental vehicle?

She sounds like mine. Everything is great with the Durango or in our case a Grand, but they want the same stuff in a smaller package? It does not exist for under $100k :sneaky:. A used Grand Cherokee before they screwed them up?

She's actually thinking she wants yet another Durango, and if we were to get a GT model, they are actually quite a bit cheaper, but I want something shorter so it fits in the garage better.

I do have 4 full size vehicles in a 4-car garage, so space is at a premium, (the Power Wagon, two Durangos and of course the Challenger)

Wife's 04 Wrangler was nearing the end of it's body life so I bought a 24 Wrangler M6, I absolutely hate it, everything is wrong but likely it's the gvt's fault. I like the idea of a 392 but new they are over $100k!?!??! WTF?!?!?

Durango is not an option, removing the roof for the summer is what makes the Wrangler all worthwhile.

You now having me thinking.....

Well ....

This was one of those special rental things where it's a "fun" car to rent like a Corvette, Convertible sports car, whatever and we got the Jeep. It was a pretty loaded model and if I remember correctly the MSRP was in the mid $40Ks. Removable top panels, 4 door, big tires, aluminum wheels, etc. It just didn't impress us.

It did have the turbo 4 banger that was gutless so maybe that soured me on it from the start, dunno, but it was super noisy to ride in and that's what I remember the most.

After that we stared looking at Broncos, but we didn't like it either.

Autotrader has within 200mi a $61k for 63kmi and $69k for 32kmi. I guess the prices here are not as reasonable.
