Dealers won't miss Dodge when its dead and gone. Same with Chrysler.

Chrysler is dead. Nothing has or is being done to change that.

Dodge has been a great money maker for the dealerships. Not only sales but accessories and now the Direct Connection stuff.

It will probably end up just being Power Brokers and no one else as a Dodge dealer in the future.

Just my opinion.

The order banks don’t open until Monday, so nobody actually has an official order yet. Dodge said they will email buyers when their order is confirmed.

I saw someone posted that they added all of the allocations on the Dodge Garage site and it totaled something like 2500 (?). If that’s true, I’m sure Dodge can build all of them before 12/31. Maybe the plan is to have a second round of allocations.

I was at a local dealer this morning. They admitted they have several Chargers and Challengers on the lot (yes I saw them), and they were in NO hurry to sell them, because they are simply going to hold out for top dollar +++.

Gross! Reminded them I went out of state to purchase the new Durango sitting outside because their sales people flat pissed me and the wife off along with offending us last August telling us how they were going to rape us when we were inquiring about getting a new vehicle or two. Ordered the Durango in October at a bit less than MSRP out of state..

It's just a sad sign of the times that customer loyalty means nothing. When I pulled the trigger on my Charger last summer/fall, I did not even bother locally because the broker I had used in the past who was very well connected and sliced right through the BS retired, and I have no other "connections". The Phoenix area dealers are all slimeballs if you have no connections into the back office. I am grateful and give Koons credit for the pretty darned good deals they offered us here, even though there was some minor aggravations during the process. They honored the agreement.

Free markets being what they are, this isn't being driven by the market as a whole, this is being driven by a one-sided, dealer driven greed...

And of the ~2500-3000 units we might have had a chance at, so far I'm seeing about 40% of the production being sucked up by the owners and family (They've flat out told me that...)

Where my current HC is really setup nicely for Standing Mile, this car was headed to Bandimere (and not some Dealer's collection).

Heck this was a dealer in Florida returning deposits from people who where locked in at 10k over. I called the day before and they were gone. Day later, 100k over. Heck one dude posted his 50k markup was returned and they want 100k
