Detroit Auto Show 2025

2019 was the last year year it was in January and they thought moving it into the summer would make it better. Timing could not have been more wrong with what happened in 2020 and it was cancelled that year. For the couple years they did do it in the summer it must have been a flop so they are going to "reimagine" it by moving back to January.

To much other stuff going on in the summer, why would someone even think this would be better. January not much going on and was a great time to go. As we know the car market isn't what it was and the show will never be what it was again. Was already looking bad in 2019 from what it was just 10 years earlier. I could see these shows ending all together

So no show in '20 or '21 and since it is moving back to January no show this year. I heard nothing about it the last 2 years so have to imagine attendance sucked. With the internet and lack of anything coming these will end. If they were to go full tilt ICE again I see a different out come

I'm 67....a REAL car-guy...and have only attended 2 of those shows in my lifetime. Myself and friends, never wanted new/stock cars. We drove older stuff and built fast cars.
I've made payments on one bike and a 99 RAM. Otherwise...spent my money on hobbies.

We went two years ago while looking at Jeeps to get a ride in the different models. It was nice not slushing through the snow but yeah it should be January< it's tradition!! The auto showing sucked for the most part, the lower area where they had older cars and was more fun!

Got a ride in the Electric Furd F150, it was quick, but...Nope!

That was the first time we went since the exotics pulled out, very sad and probably won't go back at any time of year.

I have a garage full of old cars. Always have. Now, since Chrysler will vanish and the only choices that were available was the Charger, Challenger, and 300's...I bought a 2023 Hellcat and 2023 300C. I won't be driving one of the soccer-mom/ People's cars that are the future. Thank God I'm not gonna see the collapse of America...I think.

Detroit show was an annual event for my dad (and us boys) up until we moved in my Jr year of HS.
Tried a few in Tampa back in the '90's but it just wasn't the same.

Yet another piece of Americana slipping into the sunset (like me I guess).

Never been to any of these types of shows. Wouldnt mind going at least once just to see what theyre like. Would like to get to a SEMA or PRI show for sure though. Still not been to a big time Mecum or BJ auction. Wouldve gone to Kissimee Mecum this year but didnt want to go alone as newbie, only a 2 hour drive

Went to one in the 60’s with Dad, a friend and his dad. I was 14 or 15. Got me an 8X10 B&W photo autographed by a Playmate of the Month. She was fully clothed in person and in the photo. Nevertheless, I framed it and hung it on my bedroom wall. Mom didn’t like it, but Dad said it was ok.

Sema is worth seeing once, I did. Lots of stuff I had no interest in. Pri is close and will go sometime. I think it would be better not all the other stuff like Sema. Any new car show will be nothing like it was with all ev's coming out. 20 years ago all the car manufacturers were there. 5 years ago almost 1/2 were gone and getting worse every year. I would have zero interest in going now
