After this person who shall remain nameless kicked my door and rear quarter panel passenger side (he was enraged - regardless, he would not do that ever again after I had a discussion with him) I drove down to a convenienc store (this is like 3 am) and left the girl in the car and went in the mens room and grabbed the plunger. Told the bemuse clerk that I'd bring it right back as I walked out the door. Went to the rear panel, carefully afixed the plunger, and popped that dent right out. Perfect. The passengers door had a rubber and metal door ding guard on it, so the plunger could not work. Should have pulled it off and done it anyway, but other things took precedence. Took the plunger back and put it in the john, gave the guy 2 bucks (a fair amount of money then) for using it for five minutes.
I've done that plunger thing before on a pickup truck door and it worked wonderfully.

lol, you didn't remove that factory trunk brace?!

That should make it a piece of cake.
Yeah....5 minutes with a whizz wheel and he'd have all the access he needed :)

Yeah, but like you said....it should save you some time and money with the actual repair. Plus I'm sure you were extra careful taking it all apart and will do the same putting it back together.

Besides....while you had it open you got to see if Al Capone's treasure was in there or not....

Ill have to pick up the book Stormtrooper. Thanks. So here’s the latest: went to see a guy my cousin (another car guy) recommended. Ive got an appointment for next Monday for repair. In the meantime I pulled the interior out of the rear to make it easier for the guy, and cheaper for me. What I have pictured is what he’s going to have to deal with. Plenty of wiggle room in the cabin but plenty of bracing between him and the exterior panel. Too bad the Mopar rear seat delete kit isn’t available, I’m pretty much there.

That book is pretty good info......if for nothing else other than knowing how something works. It was sort of a "look at how wrong I've been doing things over the years" experience for me. I always went right to the center of the dent and started yanking or pounding...and the results were never awesome.
Good luck with the repair. If you were local to me I'd send you to the place I went. That guy was good, and it was easy to see how he was able to charge more than other places around me. You either have that gene or you don't.....and I don't.

Great way to save a buck by removing the interior yourself for dent repair.

Search around. Get some references look at some of their work if you can. The good ones can make it look perfect.

Man , I know that does hurt , it's worth a shot on the repair , I kinda did the same thing , I was getting something out of my attic next to the car & lost my footing & fell onto the fender with my ribs. I dented (small) the fender & I think I cracked a rib or two.
The way I look at it is - that's when we bonded.
