If that was their intent, then it’s a Highly misleading graphic.

1. Doesn’t imply or say “vehicles we tested”
2. 2024 E-Ray isnt out yet either (ala D170 which is a 2023)

If you watch the video, I believe they say it’s vehicles they have tested.

I'm super interested in the E-Ray. I was afraid it was gonna be just another EV but hybrid would be a great setup IMO. Don't have to charge it, keeps the V8, and is AWD. The only problem is it's Chevy and in my experience (but may be true for any manufacturer) I'd not own the first or second year model till the bugs are worked out. Well, and Vette owners have a certain stereo type that most live up to. Not a real fun crowd to be around in my experience which is a bummer. That's a big reason the Porche 911 Turbo has been at the top of my list but maybe those owners are A Holes too?

Comparing it to a Demon 170 is kind of silly. A purpose built race car on race tires vs a car you can drive anywhere any time. Completely different classes of cars and I'd almost bet on the street red light to red light the E-Ray smokes the 170.

Too true. I jokingly brought up a Corvette with my wife before ordering the Redeye - she flat out said NO! No Corvettes! Ever!

I drive my 9 sec car all over the place but to me it's just not the same I guess. Might as well have a Copo Camaro or Cobrajet on there since it's 1/4 mile times?

No way, they don’t have vins - you can’t legally register or drive those on the street. Way different imo

Fair point. Folks like us get our cars to the track though, so I guess I don't pay much attention to the types of comparisons. Mildly entertaining I'll give em' that. I used to enjoy Top Gear's standing mile comparisons since they'd give you the good bad and ugly. This stuff seems more for folks that don't really race their car and can point to it and say "see look how fast my car is". But I digress...

What's telling is that 3 of the top 5 cars in the top 5 are electric. I can get on board with hybrid but an EV just makes me wanna puke for some reason. Maybe the stigma attached to the owners kinda like the Vette stereotype?
