I came so close 3-4 years ago to buying one. I had a done deal and the salesman was so stupid he killed the deal. I test drive a blue color one and really like it. Leave come back the next day and drive it again and another one a different color. I tell the sales guy I am Going to get lunch amd will be back shortly. Come back and the blue car I liked is gone. Ask the sales guy where is the car? He replies it’s in the back lot and I say why and he says had to put it back. I say go get it and he says why……I say have a good day. He did me a favor those things are junk.

Sometimes negative seeming shit is actually great in the end.

I’ve been telling my wife that we’re not going to buy any of the ev cars that are out there now when it’s time to replace her GC Jeep. This EV Charger is nice though. I wouldn’t have a problem with buying one. I think it’s beautiful and bad ass. I think they hit a home run with it!

Actually was a big Pontiac fanboy back in the day & actually worked @ GM for many years (mostly @ the Warren Tech Center).
Last car I bought from them was a '77 Formula that was the biggest POS ever build.
Convinced the body panels were rusty BEFORE being painted, trim that didn't fit correctly, engine stalling issues, more squeaks & rattles than a horse drawn buggy on a cobblestone road ! Spent more time @ the stealership not getting repaired in the 1st 9 months then it did in my driveway.

Never even looked at another GM since, in my mind those fuckers still owe me a car !!
Ditto for Ferd and that shitbox, un-repairable Mustang they sold me in '16 - done with them too.

Since we're talking about EVs vs ICE on this thread, and as of yet biofuels are still in limited experimental production, the only "oil" one could infer you were talking about crude oil; if so, you're barking up the wrong tree; it's non-renewable.

If you meant algea based bio fuels....I'd love to see that hit the open market; would solve a LOT of problems AND address the fluctuations in the energy markets. Sadly, still seems a decade or so away. But such "oils" aren't what the average person considers when hearing the word "oil" in a conversation involving EV and ICE vehicles.
