Hello, what engine oil and weight should I use in California weather for a 6.2 built motor with 2650 blower. Pls advise.

depends on application...what all you doing with it? For just about anything other than hard road/endurance racing where the oil temps get 250+ and/or drag racing at Demon 170 22+ psi boost levels, PUP 0W-40 is a great oil, and the value equation high, when bought "right". I would personally want a little more than a XX-40 for extreme oil temps/crazy high boost like I mentioned, like a 5W-50 or 10W-60.

Most likely roll racing and taking to cars and coffee. one shop recommended 5W-50 another recommended 0W-30. obviously will change every 3K miles so not sure either one matters. Not a daily driver and out here in cali it doesnt get super cold however we do get hot temps comparable to AZ and Nevada. So not sure which of the 2 to use.

I would not recommend 0W-30 - too thin for my liking. For what you describe, the OEM PUP 0W-40 should be fine, if 5W-50 gives you a little more peace of mind, that should be ok too.
