I detest that when they F up they try and hide it. Off the lot, off the hook.

It wasn’t till I got home till I noticed. They never “owned up” to it, but they did pay for it. I did have to press a little bit

They plugged in no codes and no reflash available. The car seems to make the noise when it's hot.

What do you mean? They plugged into the FCA system and it says car has stored no codes and is not missing any updates? Then why is it doing that? Is your 15 still in warranty? Wasnt it 5 years then?

I need the time to spend at the shop. I have an ex-warranty but this was a recall. I have no Phucking clue why and either dose FCA. when I was there on Monday no RO was started. Wife yelled dinner back later

Well I went in just for them to plug it up and order the parts. They said they couldn’t order the parts without looking at it first? I gotta take it back next Tuesday

What do you mean "Look at it"? As in drop the cats and such? They did the same with the shitty Costa Rican oil cooler lines. Had to have the techs visually verify they were on the car first before ordering fix (if I remember correctly). If you spend X millions of dollars on a computerized inventory system, shouldn't you have a record of exactly what is on each car? I dno't get it, unless they think "those SOB customers! they'll tamper with their oil cooler lines, or cats, and then try and trick us into changing them!"

Had mine done as well today. It did seem a tad louder (more drone actually). Not much else seemed different, flipped thru the screens & all looked normal. Was not able to really to cut her loose as it was rush hour & there were tons of cops running radar. Did a short run up to 80 mph & all seemed as before. One thing that did stand out as different was when I backed off the throttle going down a slight 'hill' in the road (was picking up too much speed in a radar trap area). Trans actually downshifted and engine braked the car. It's never done that before !

No drama on shut down, that all seemed normal as well. If it's not raining Sunday, I'll take her out again & push harder just to see what happens.

That's BS, my dealer verified my car needed the recall over the phone, ordered the parts & scheduled the service ! Car has not been there since the last maintenance interval.

Thanks Kaitlin. Its really not a big deal for me to take it twice since my work is only about a mile from the dealership(I didn't leave it with them). I did think it was strange they asked me that. I'm mostly concerned they do the recall without damaging my car. If I have any problems, I'll let you know.

I wasn’t watching the whole time. He said they needed to hook it up before they order the parts and I’m fairly confident that’s all they did. I’ll ask him why when I go back

Not true.

If your VIN comes up in the computer, they need to order the parts.

Don't let them jack you around..

My SR just looked my vehicle up. Confirmed my VIN and ordered the parts.

Was able to get mine out for a romp yesterday am. It's hot & muggy here, so it was a 'worst case' scenario drive.

All in all, I noticed no real difference in performance, mpg etc. No buzzing or rattles as some others have experienced.
Did notice when I started out the coolant temps seemed to be running a tad higher than normal (this was also true on the trip home after the recall was done). But after 20 miles or so it seemed to drop back to normal and stayed that way the rest of the drive. No clue why that would be, perhaps they tweaked when the fan comes on ?

Did they not release a "what this is supposed to do" file or summary with the update? I should get this done but I'm conflicted. Like watching Kim Jong Un and his sister back off a cliff in my new Lamborghini.

I see no real reason to have it done. Unless you live in a communist state that wont give you a lic tag if you don't.

Picked her up and been driving around all afternoon. Made a couple hard pulls and so far so good. I can’t tell any difference in the way the car sounds or runs. I’m happy
