Nice going Jim.
Wish the whole Napierville gang were there, we would've all made new PB's with you.
Or I could have gotten Jim in the 9's and you in the 8's ,

While that would have been great to hang out with you guys again. The feeling of the rear skating after the last shift was not great. I can't imagine it would have dealt better for you guys. On the last pass I actually eased out of it after the 2-3 shift and I believe at the end of the run also. That run was when I decided that was enough excitement.

Hopefully we get an early and long spring so we can take advantage of good air and warm track.

In a way you were lucky to keep control. The air was good but the track was really too cold for those tires…

Wow, the stars aligned and preparation met determination with traction low temp and low density altitude.

Congratulations on your 10.12 pass and ice skating thru safely. Loss of control at high speed can be an heart stopping underwear moment!

Amazing what can happen in one second of your life.

Thanks for making the Hellcat family very proud and someday you will be a stock Hellcat in the 9's. Incredible!

After looking at others videos and talking to a couple of faster cars than mine.
They did not have the same issues as I did.
Ok 1 is a 14 mustang that finally got into the 8's and an older Set Charger 6.1 that went 9.4.
When I changed the oil last week I noticed that the cooler line had rubbed against a pulley when my radiator attempted to fall out of the car.
Which caused the upper hose to let go back in October.
When I looked the line last week it had no signs of leaking. I looked at it the other day and there are traces of some leaking. The intercooler bottle level dropped slightly last weekend.🤔
My guess is I was causing my own traction issues by running over my own antifreeze.
On the last run the car smelled like antifreeze more than it has lately. (since the mass exit of coolant in Oct the car has smelled some). IMG_20211112_170221.jpg

That’s scary right there! Glad something worst didn’t end up happening. Just had a friend crash his bike because a coolant line cracked and he lost control

I remember you mentioning the bike, Scary.
Thankfully the leak isn't major. The bottle was maybe 1/8" overfull and now it sits exactly on the line while parked in the same place in the garage.
It doesn't take much though to cause a problem. The thing that pisses me off is the rad should have been tightened. Mistakes happen alright I get that. But they half assed that repair also. I told them I took a look and they needed a rad hose, a couple of bolts missing out of the cross member and they never put in any of the vertical push pins in the shield. It took them a week to look at it and they only ordered the parts then. I had shown the adviser the hole in the hose. So I lost the car for another 2 weeks plus the 17 weeks for the engine. The mechanic
re-installing the rad should have noticed this line as I saw it changing my oil. Twice now I had coolant leaks at the track. The first time it covered the right front of the car and was pouring out the scoop and vent in the hood.
So that is twice now I got lucky. I did look around the car after the engine install but either missed the rad loose or it vibrated loose afterwards.

On a side note I was at the track last Saturday and now I'm heading out to clear snow 1 week later.
