In all fairness, back in the day the Camaro/Firebirds were much better handling cars in stock condition and they were easy and fun to drive. Torsion bars were great in Silverado, but if I had a choice, I would not want them in my musclecar. 
Modern Camaros on the other hand are/were a huge disappointment.
