I got around to putting my flares on today and I really like the way it came out! I used the plastic rivet tool technique which worked great. Thank you for all the help and tips. Now on to wheels...
You lucky bastard. Still wait'n on mine. Ordered last week. Used 3day shipping from Cali to NY, am hoping they'll be here this weekend. Black is also easiest to match. No metallics to vary shade. That's what I'm worried about with the B5. Those look perfect!

So with the rear flares (magnetic), no one is having fitment issues?
Paid 1700 and my rear flares (taped) suck on fitment.
My one complaint on the rear flare is the section before the first magnet down to where the front rivet is. There is more flex there than I would like and am thinking of adding tape to that section to see if that helps.

Haha thanks. Two of my flares arrived with bad paint so they had to go to a local shop to get repainted. I think they were shipped before the clear was cured. Bill was great and very responsive though. If I was to reorder I would order unpainted and just have them painted locally.

Careful on tape thickness.
I ended up having to get tape cuz the tape on mine didn't pull the flare in (warped).
So I taped the entire flare, now there is a gap.
No one else notices it.
I do, like a big sign.
Also, protect your flares!
Paint on mine is getting allot of nicks.

I was thinking the tape would do that so I may just leave it alone. I definitely plan on getting them protected.

I had paint issues with one of the flares I received last year, the 1st gen type. Developed a large bubble on the flare about a month after I received it. I would also recommend having a local body shop paint them if you have a good one nearby.

Also as Hunter stated, I would protect them unless you want to remove them later to be painted again. The lower front part of the rear flares take a beating over time. With the 2nd gen flares I received, I had self healing paint protection film added to them.

Did you have Bill add the protection?

No, had a local shop do it before I installed them. I also waited about 30 days to have them protected to ensure the paint had time to cure.

Curious what's "self healing" PPF? Plus now I'm wondering if I should wait a month to install when I get. Lol.

The stuff is pretty great. I went with xpel. I have my front end, hood, front quarter panels and behind rear wheels wrapped in it. Not a blemish after 13k miles. I was gonna wait to until I got the flares protected to install but I had the day off so...

I'm sure they can wrap them in film on the car. Probably just easier off the car.

I went out to adjust the rear and the front section of the flare feels much more secure now. I’ll chalk my issues up to user error! I think I initially just had them a little off the mark. Coolblue, Just make sure it’s sitting how you want before you put all the rivets in!
