As a side note, this very scenario is one of several reasons why I can't get CDT rotors to pass DOT testing... :(
Would love more explanation about this issue and an update on the CDT rotor project.

You can theoretically get away with this, IF you keep new pads on it AND don't want to do anything like road courses.

However even if that is true, it still means you're a bad person.

Why, for how they wear?

This is grotesquely oversimplifying the problems, but when you push on one of the "corners" of the design to the limit with goal of maximizing mass reduction, that same parameter works against you when you want thermal mass, and then having to allow for people to go below minimum, which is even less mass, you've only just made it worse. As for an update, we are still trying to bring it to completion... We pushed so many boundaries that they all are easily fractured by the slightest change. Printer prices, printer firmware, material prices, availability, performance, design, thinwall printing (it's a thing), heat treatment of In718. Oh, and capital, lots and lots of capital.

What about additional bracing between the honey combs? Like a lattice, but thicker that the veins? Hoping you don't have to do a redesign and I'm also not a mechanical engineer, but can't this be simulated in CAD for the pressure causing the cracks?

Sorry, I interpreted fracture as in the rotors fracturing, as in cracks

I guess I can see that interpretation, but no, in this case no cracks.
