New pads at 11,800 miles?

Dealer said my rears are at 3mm and they'd probably have to resurface my rotors too. I said "at less than 12K miles?" and he said he's seen some that needed them at 8K. WOW. Honestly, I don't run my TH hard since it's my DD plus the ongoing pandemic it's really been sitting for the last 9 months. Anyone else with a similar experience?

My 16 HC Challenger had over 20,000 miles, and still had original pads...

Seems premature for sure, especially for the rears. Maybe youre a hard braker? I've heard the stock pads do a number on the rotors, especially if you stand on the brakes a lot.

Our DSRT (roughly similar??) is approaching 15,000 miles and has a lot of pad left, and the rotors are in good shape. It gets driven in a "spirited" fashion.

But to be honest, we did switch to the Z26 pads, and they are generally considered to be a less aggressive pad than the O.E. pads.

Pictures of your rotors would help.

My 2015 has 15k on the Z26 pads and they have a lot of life left. I’d get a second opinion.

Z26 pads here also and everything looks good.
I know the Brembo pads bite harder and maybe wear faster. Miles on them seems low to wear out though

Less than 12k..and the fronts are fine?..that just doesn't happen

I'd get a 2nd opinion. Especially since it's the rears. I honestly don't see how anyone could wear rears out before the fronts. I currently have 26k miles on the original Bembos and I live in the Atlanta area. I've been stuck in traffic more than a few times. I'm sure the M6 helps greatly, but still that seems extremely odd even for a Auto.

My '04 terminator did this because of traction control.

Note the wear strip on the pad, this is at ~15K miles.

Hey Mike, what exactly was the issue with your T/C?
I never tried to dignose it. I just hit the button and cancelled it every time I drove it. It never did it again with the T/C cancelled. There was no softwear to use at that time.
