It's a cool story and I still believe in Santa so....

However, the timing of the sale was kinda coincidental? If story = true I'm not sure I could sell the car if it had been my Dad's, especially if I had a son to pass it down to. Just sayin'

On a related note, I had a guy and his kid approach me at a Mopar event a few years ago when I had my suped up R/T. He asked me what times it ran and I told him high 10s at about 130mph. He laughed a big laugh and told me his 1970 426 Challenger convertible ran faster than that "and didn't need no stupid supercharger to do it". I didn't wanna embarrass the guy in front of his teenage son, but he kept going on and on and I finally said "let's line em' up out front on the street and I'll bet you my title I whip that 14 second car". He mumbled and trailed off.

Couldn't have said it better myself but I thought that it would run a 13.

I can't say that I wouldn't want more Dodge muscle in feature films...what's Fast and Furious on it's tenth edition? (only saw the first one and couldn't stomach more than 3 mins of any other one).

Anyway, wouldn't the family be making good money on the rights of the story and for Dodge using its likeliness on a Special edition Challenger? WTF would you sell the thing when you're already banking money off of it? $1M is not life changing...I'd still need to go to work every day.

Story line will be mostly fiction...I mean really the guy is not a super hero...and the car was something that anybody could have ordered...WB is going to really have to juice it up...the car..and the owners exploits....

At Gilmore museum today for the MCACN car show and I see Gregory Qualls looking at my car. I talked to him for a bit. He said the guy that bought the Black Ghost lives in Florida and he has access to the car. If there is a show or something he wants to have the car for he can borrow it. He has a 70 Challenger RT/SE he will be building with his son and they are going to put a late model 392 in it. He said as far as the Ghost goes part of him is glad it is gone. Everyone saying how much it was worth and he was driving it around. He said he and his dad never really worked on the car together, it was just his dads car so there was not the bond like he and his son will have with this new project. I asked if Dodge gave him a new Ghost and he said yes. He is just waiting for it to be finished. Had a VIN and is in process. Very nice guy

327 Chevy Impalas...390 ford mustangs..351 torinos 350 Camaros...326 firebirds....the list is endless...he could have beat em all...and if and when he did get beat...it never became part of the legend...and the more often the story got told...the faster the car got...we all know what the car is...and what it was capable of...it shouldn't be too hard to figure out what he beat...and what he didn't...
