I can share that on the ported 2.4L with 1300’s, I would see 85% + at higher rpms. That is with a triple pump FORE system. E78

1700’s have given me much more room

Well folks we made it back in one piece . We had to cut the trip short due to really bad weather . So instead of 50 miles in 4 days we di 20 miles in 2 days . I realized one thing on this trip ....... I'm not 30 years old any more lol

LOL, I used to take vacations and go hike all over the place. I've done many miles of the Appalachian Trail, and hiked the Grand Canyon 4 times I think. My last hike of the GC I realized I was getting some age on me and gave up all that.

Nice if you walked 25 kms in a straight line you would have been at my cottage. Next time take the town of Kearney Algonquin park access not the hwy 60 access. Less people and the terrain and views get even better. There are three access points called the Tim Lake, Magnatawan lake and Rain lake access points.

I did the GC back in 2008 . We did the north rim down to the camp ground by the river then back out the same way . It was a blast . I have been to Zion Park ( up to angles landing)and needles ( park?) . I have did 11 peaks in in lake placid, and most of the rockies in Canada. I wish I could get more time out doors but with work and my son's hockey that consumes most of my time.

I wonder about the idle and cruise on pump gas with the 1700's . I'd love to get my hands on a set to test but at $2300 usd that's a bit much for me to test them .

Ordered my pistons today ! I went with custom diamond pistons . 4.09 bore with 9,5 to 1 compression with a few key areas to improve strength and longevity. Essentially the same diameter and compression ratio as stock just beefier . ........ Ignight 90 here we come !

I'm not going to see the rods and pistons until maybe Christmas or so ( stupid covid)
But here is my plans ( they may change without notice )

Balance rotating assembly
Check deck and main bores for straightness
Hone block to fit pistons as per manufacturer
File fit rings
ARP head and main studs
Check everything over and correct any unforseen issues .
Professional assembly by yours truly .

I'm going to try and document as much of the engine assembly as possible.

My ultimate goal is to have the strongest 6.2L short block as possible for the future abuse I'm about to unleash on it !

I'm looking at stock at 6.2 head gaskets . They seem to hold up fine .

I ran Cometic on the old car and they were great as well. I think Demonology pushed a stock head gasket but he was way on up there in boost.

I agree . I ran cometic head gaskets before and they were fine . The stock head gaskets a MLS with great liquid sealing . Besides I'm not going over 18 psi of boost as I run pump gas most of the time . I think the added timing I can run on E85 will push the cylinder pressure up pretty high also . I mean it's a street car how fast do I want to go really ?
