Ok it seems my kestrel weather station shows a different DA then "air density online" . My question is which one do I go by to keep things the same ??? Im ok using either . I just want to keep it consistent.

The app may not be getting all the info from the track also.
At my track the app they have read 1600 on Saturday while the TRC app had it at 1900. Air density online had it at 2100.🤷♂️
Last year the Kestrel had the Da at 1700 or more while air density online had it at 1200.
Yes Ingo we needed you there. There were not many mopars that day but we showed the Ford and Chevy boys who's the boss. I think Skinnies make more of a difference then people think.
When we ran our PB pass the DA was a little over 600 meters so I round down to 600 meters . 600 meters equals 1968.5 feet . Because I used the kestrel in the past I will continue using it . If people want to compare it to "air density online " and make their own conclusions that's fine also . I'm not going to go by what if this or what if that . I'm going by my time slip for that day . Lol
On a side note I have a friend with a $25K weather station that I'm going to compare my kestrel too .

I agree I just am using the DA to find out how good those runs would have really been in really good DA. I think Napierville in the fall with some negative DA amazing track prep you will be low 9.40s. Maybe even one magical run in the 9.30s I am willing to bet money on it.
Mark I never had a doubt you would. LOL
I also agree with you on the gear thing.
Frenchcat has run as much as 2/10th's quicker than me on the same day.
The weekend before last, the weather and da was similar to what you ran in and I ran 10.59.
So that's pretty much the 2/10.
Not same track/day but it hints to what you first said is not as farfetched as some think.

I think the Kestrel is the one you should use. As I mentioned before the apps are all over the place.
I have to think about getting one myself.
I would say the Kestrel is the more accurate especially if it is set to feet.😅

I hear ya . I'm just putting that out for the " nah sayers" lol
I wish I had of stayed in it when I did I'd the the 1.39 sixty foot......... I might have been a 9.59 pass
On a plus not I feel comfortable say my car is a 9.6 car on pump gas . I have many time slips to back this up even in less then ideal conditions. Not just a single hero run in Crazy mine shaft DA.

Forget about the naysayers. I was at the track and witnessed what your car can do. I watched full on 8 sec drag cars getting out of there runs because the track prep was bad. I went sideways on one run and got out of it and you still got a 9.6 in those conditions so I know for a fact with amazing prep and DA your car is capable of a hell of a lot more.
