Met plenty at the track that are jerks too. Going to be in anything in life, but more so in the car show crowd like you said
Agree, dragway people are very segregated. But a guy crewing for the the modded C6 at the track rental came over and gave me a congrads when I broke into the 9's. It was an appreciated suprise.

On the other hand, the people at Land Speed Trials are really all the nicest and helpful people you will ever meet! Everyone is sooo nice I feel obligated to try to offer any help I might be capable of providing.

I have said maybe 1000 times that you all should try it. We do it again Sept 5-7!!!!

I think young girls like it because they don’t know it’s a Corvette.
Gold diggers aren’t bad people, btw, so if anyone knows a nice elderly woman, in poor health, with a substantial fortune and no heirs, I can keep her company.

That's my thought. My neighbor came over and wanted to see my Lambo and he's a car guy lol. He was shocked when I told him it was just a Corvette. The Z06 looks and sounds like a much more exotic car, kind of a win win since you get that without the maintenance hassles of an exotic.

There's some late 20 early 30 something woman I see around here in her 370Z and she always gives me the rev it signal out her window lol.

My experience with car show people and track people....

Car shows - you get all kinds - 95% cool people and an occasional snob. Those that have met me know I tend to talk to everybody and if I get a funky vibe, I don't waste any time and on to more friendly interactions. I have noticed the Vette folks do tend to accessorize a lot and in my unscientific observations more so than other car types.

As for the track, more like 99% cool people. Only the rare chest thumper there although

I will say when the Hellcat platform was introduced I did see a marked change in attitudes at ChallengerFest. More whining, complaining, arguing, etc. I attributed it to the Hellcat platform appealing to folks who'd been in to BMW, Corvette, or other higher end cars. I told several people to leave and not bother to come back and had never had to do that prior to Hellcat. Their sense of self importance was astonishing when told to leave.
