I'd run them through. You'll be able to see when the rubber is getting thin. You'll have some safety margin once the dots are worn down, but I wouldn't push them far afterward.

When mine were at the end of their useful life they started to ball up in waves on the tire. Right about then is when traction seemed to not be as good with them.

I didn't measure them but the little holes were becoming oblong shaped and not round anymore. I mention the balling up because my slicks lasted several seasons so I think time is another metric to be considered for useful life. I think I ran mine for like 5 seasons, maybe more and was very surprised they lasted that long. I can't even tell you how many passes that was, but 100s.

They don’t owe you anything, think I’ll give mine another meeting and see how it goes, what’s the worse thing that could happen😁

When mine "went off" as it were 60' began to suffer. You'll know LOL.

An experienced racer once told me "if they still work and you can't see the air in them then keep running them".
It's good advice.
I've had tires quit working very early on - typically high horsepower stuff that kills the sidewall. Plenty of hole left but just won't 60'.
I've also had tires that I literally didn't remove until the cords were beginning to become visible, they just never quit working.
My best suggestion would be keep an eye on them and as Speedy said you'll know when they quit working.

Also, check for even wear across the surface from side to side.

What track do you race at?
Do you belong to the Mopar Club over there?

Linda :)

Thanks Linda, yes the wear is surprisingly even across both tires, I race at Santa pod raceway in Northampton, the MOPAR Nationals are there next weekend as a matter of fact so it should be a blast😎

We may. It depends on a few factors. I have a '21 SS on order and I'm considering hauling it down there just to be able to run HRP one more time. We might even make a two weekender out of it. I'll have to wait and see until after the car gets here at least. Are you going to come over again?
