I offered 3 different dealers msrp on the King Daytona charger today. You know they've been sitting. 0 accepted offers.
I really haven't followed the special edition BS much, figured dealers were all demanding ADM for them. I have zero interest in their 'potential' as a collector car as it's highly likely I'll be dead long before that happens (if it ever does).

Was far more interested in upgrading my '18 (was 6 years old) to the 392 + resetting the clock on how long I can go before being forced into some smaller engined vehicle. The goal is (was?) to get 10 - 12 years out of it, but not so sure this new build has that kind of longevity in it.

I was trying to bottom feed. 1 dealer told me that I was going to flip it and make money. I laughed and said that I was going to take the ugly ass stripe off the back.

I'm concerned about the longevity of the 23s. I just don't see it. 😳😳

Hornet isn't new. How long has alpha been trying to sell it?
Its new in a Dodge dealership.
I know some have Alfa/Fiat also on their property but i'd wager most do not.

Honestly you are correct but the Wrangler is far older than that, it is still basically not much different from the 1941 model. Pretty much still the same basic design!! I want that one to stay that way!
The others? Yeah we're in big trouble with designs and models:cry:
The Wrangler and the Ram trucks were the attractive part for Stellantis.
But the Bronco is out and its a great first attempt from Ford IMO. It has issues but its a newer/different take on the Jeep.
Ram 1500 going to Hurricane with no Hemi. Trucks are the most loyal buyers and they won't be too happy to hear the fart popping turbos from the Hurricane. They better work some serious marketing magic with that one.

I think the Wrangler could use a heavy refresh. Instead they gave it a bigger screen and new grille. I guess.

You’re pretty much spot on.

I love my TRX, but the base price for a 2024 is $95,000 when my Level 2 sticker price was $85,500. That would put my truck at around $110,000 for 2024 based off the increase to a base model. My truck is nice, but it’s not $110,000 nice!

The whole damn thing is a shame!
I was going to get a 24 TRX. Not any more.
Has me looking at Hemi swapping my Jeep actually.

Blech, Fiat & Alpha have both tried on several occasions to break into the US market & failed spectacularly every time.
I doubt slapping a Dodge badge on their offerings will change anything, especially once the 'new buyers' rediscover what POS trash those brands really are.
Hell, the dealers can't fix the US made stuff that's been around forever, can only imagine them trying to keep this euro-trash on the road !

I’m sure they can come up with something for the fart popping noises. I mean they came up that fine exhaust sound from the EV Charger 😂😂😂

If they could stlll sell the cats a few more years it would have been cool to just make the demon 170 engine available in the charger and challenger just as a next level option above the Redeye for 18000 instead of 11000. They’d sell a whole bunch of them. Hell stick it in the TRX, Durango and Cherokee too. Oh and the Journey lol 😂

Good thing I kept repeating over and over again to get a TRX sooner than later. Additional Manufacturer Markups are here. No way emissions fines caused the TRX to go up 24k in 3 years when the R/T, Scat Pack, Hellcat, Redeye, and Super Stock didn't.

How much of this is just stockpiling inventory ahead of a potential strike?

What happens to Challenger and Charger pricing when the strike takes out XX% of the production? And yes, dealers are trying to stock pile, but local RAM and Ford dealer are almost covid level lot inventory around here. Gonna be ugly.

I've been kicking the tires on a Shakedown last call and their are a lot still out there on dealer lots with only a 5-10k markup. They're not moving as expected already, I doubt any impacts to production will jump people into buying.

Folks either bought into the "last call" hype or they didn't. I think now that the gotta have it's have a car bought a lot of dealer stock is going to sit for a while.

I think if I wanted one of those lime green Swingers I could find one for MSRP by the end of the day. Seems like their are a ton of them out there.

I'm fine without a 24 TRX.
Like others had said, reset the clock. My first one ended up being sold well over MSRP and the second one was 7k discount order.

Would have been cool to have the last year but it sounds like that won't happen.
Ram wants those markups that dealers are going to try and charge.

Screw it. I'll take my Jeep and have that AMW swap installed. No one will look at a Gladiator twice and think it has a hellcat in it. Then I won't have to worry about it being stolen either.

I got a call from a dealer that a Purple Super Bee was available that was previously spoken for.
But they wanted a 10k markup so I passed.

I'm not paying 80k for a Scat Pack anything.

The entire Dodge dealer experience is the absolute fucking worst and I will be hard pressed to ever buy another new Mopar again.
