Straight Pipes

What do you guys / gals think about straight pipes as opposed to a good aftermarket cat back system? I have heard that straight pipes generate a great deal of drone in the cabin.

Never be that guy...seriously. Only kids with Mustangs do that around here and EVERYBODY just shakes their head.

Occasionally I like a bit more exhaust pipe note, though it gets to be too much, and REAL OLD FAST like 5 mins fast, attracts to much LEO attention and one does have to think how it affects everyone around them. These cars when set up right with exhaust can deliver a sweet low end rumble that’s most enjoyable on the street to please even the moderately hard core, yet Leo and joe average public will tolerate if your foot right foot isn’t mashed in totally with the pedal. Lots of posts on this very set up, sweet exhaust until really pushed- Jekyll & Hyde if you will. Cake and eat it too Works for me.

Must admit I like the most savage exhaust note available, like 13,000 hp Top Fuel Nitro Methane Hemispherical exhaust note, but again there is a place for that .02
