I'll bet there is a difference between the flash points. Flash point is car sitting still in gear with foot off the brake; slam the throttle and notice at what RPM the car reacts. Very important in launching.

I'm curious what it is . I know the demon / redeye is 2350 rpms and the hellcat is 1800 rpms .

Look up the part number for both and see if they are different?

The Trackhawk pulls through the brakes around 2k rpms. It'll be hard for anyone to tell you the stall for certain.

The trackhawk and hellcat Durango have the same torque converter but I don't know the stall speed of it .
Interestingly enough the ram TRX shares the same torque converter with the hellcat cars .
The demon / redeye share a converter.

Ok thanks . That's the information I need . It gives me a "guesstimate " when I compare it to the hellcat and demon converter on the foot brake test .

The TRX has 2 piston front and single piston rears. Those brakes wouldn't hold a higher stall anyway.

While the Trackhawk has the big Brembo's, they can't hold the AWD system back. If you watch the Straight Pipes video, check the 5 minute mark. They discuss this very issue.

This is an old post but I stumbled on it today and thought I could add some context. The torque reserve system triggers during launch control and closes the supercharger bypass valve so instead of N/A torque @ rpm you end up with boost torque @ rpm. I think I read 1800rpm gives you a little over 400lb-ft of torque at launch. Once you push much past 1800 the brakes just can't hold it. [cheers]

Thanks 🙂 I’m on a few other forums but didn’t see a Hellcat Durango section here so never signed up. I’m sure I’ll hang around 🍻

Now THAT'S a first post @S8ER01Z! With all of the FPFs (First Post Fuckwits!) we've had lately that show up looking for help in getting the Hellcat they stole running, scam someone in the marketplace, etc. that's how you make an entrance. A friendly and informative post from someone whose clearly knowledgeable...BRAVO!

I'm curious on the stall on a Scat Pack. Mine seemed to push through right over idle.

I dug around and it seems like 1900-2000 is a common rpm for everything but the demon and 1320 which have a 2350rpm stall (this is based on info I found and could be wrong).
Interestingly the demon/1320 stall is claimed to be 11% high so quick math puts the stall around 2100rpm for the others? Maybe someone else has more concrete information.
