This was my last pass, 190.190. Notice the break dust on the lower rear bumper from the 1st pass (I did only two that last day). The dust from the fronts was more evenly distributed over the side of the car below the crease.

That is really cool and would be awesome to see, I think I would have more fun watching it.
Mines limited to 168 and I have my speed limiter set to 130.
It sounds really cool but I am not doing a tune, tires and the rest to try it. I like to go fast but not that fast :ROFLMAO: mid 100's is good for me
I had the wife's Jeep up to 111 the other morning coming into work. It's nice coming in at 3am on empty highways
This car is stock, only mods on this car are catch can and 305's. These will do 200 easy with a pulley and tune. If I were younger I'd be all over a tune but at my age, I really don't want to make my life more complicated, I like to keep it simple if possible! :)

Congrats! Wonder what mine would do with the race gas tune once I have it fully dialed in. Probably similar to what Stan ran I imagine.
You, on the other hand, may have your hands full if you try a 1.5mi! ;) Those cones marking the end of the runway come up pretty quick at 300fps!

Agree but Super Stocks are speed limited to 168 mph because of tires. I would have to tune it to override the speed limiter in software and new tires that have a higher speed rating. I bought an extra five year warranty when I bought car so I do not want to tune for that reason. Maybe someday I won't care and will do it:cool::cool:
Still looks like a hell of a lot of fun!

I picked up ~2mph in the mile with the 3.90s, however that was in 8000-8500DA, so there are significant differences, not only aero, but motor.

I think you've seen it, but a couple of my runs are in my signature, I was always arguing about holding 5th, or making the shift into 6th.

Ultimately I decided that as long as I made a clean 5-6 shift, it was worth it, even when the timing gear was imminent.
What was your 1mi speed? Last yearI ran 5th to the rev limiter at about 171 just short of the 1mi.

Since you are still young and full of energy, maybe look around for an old HC and mod the crap out of it! Roll cage, parachute, 1 seat, fire suppression, but still street legal! ;)

There were several HC's there, 3 M6's and 2 RE's, a DDHC, plus a 392.

Oh, and if anyone goes to northern Maine, be aware that trains have the Right of Way at crossings!

My best for the Colorado Mile was 175.8

I forget the exact DA anymore, but 8500' is typical

In 5th?!?!? Was it tuned to change the rev limiter?

I now know the M6 was slow brcause I had like 28psi in the rears only because that is what I use around town. I might get close your that speed with 34 cold or a bit more, but not in 5th. Like I mentioned, it won't go more than 171 or so in 5th.

Story:

Wed a.m. I pick a spot in the pit area next to a pick-up that trailered open wheeled single seat hot rod #1771. It had a new engine, a 427 destroked to 390-something to meet class rules. They blew their previous engine and got this new one ready for this event. It threw a rod or something through the side of the oil pan first pass (photo). They packed up and went home. :(

Thurs I show up, in that spot is modded 2022 (I will not describe further). Third run, it never made it back to the pits. Left on a flatbed. :(:(

Friday in the same spot is a pick-up trailering a 80’s Mustang. They had already made a run by the time I arrived. They asked me to help push it back on the trailer, it had a trans/clutch prob. :(:(:(

I did not go Sat but I hope no one parked in that spot! 1771.jpg

I trust you got those wheels washed up immediately, Rich 😉

5th gear was pegged at 6200ish/rev limiter, and in the 3.70s (and not at ~176, I'd have to go back and look at logs)

3.90s were a definite shift to 6th, I'm kind of combining 3 years and nearly a hundred passes into a few posts, you'll have to forgive me, details merge a bit?

I'm pretty sure my car would have a blast at this event. However I wonder if i'd have problems braking up top.

LOL! I washed the car twice up there, but didn't waste time on the wheels! But they clean up pretty easily, just a lot of nooks and crannies to get into. Not sure why yours are difficult.

As you probably know, RE's have better brakes and cooling ducts.

In 2021 Adrenaline Rush did 203.7 in a 2019 Charger non-RE and said he thought his car was on fire on the return road and stopped to see his rotors were blue.

You can always add a parachute!

I don't know. I had them ceramic coated to try to make it easier but it seems like it's harder than ever. I can get the faces pretty clean, but the dust beyond that is almost baked onto the wheel that no amount of scrubbing seems to get it off. They all need to come off for a deep clean so I can get in behind. Probably will just let my detailer deal with it.

We have a few nice highways around here (NH), but they often get caught, I have posted some of them. Here are a couple photos my wife took on the drive. Long way between exits, beautiful straight road in excellent condition (I95), you can sometimes see 2+ mi ahead hilltop to hilltop. If you want to save the entry fee, you can do an easy 200 on the way up and down!

Long ago my wife got a ticket doing 50 in the 35zone approaching a toll on the ME Turnpike. (As everyone knows, anyone doing 35 approaching a toll is a hazard on the highway.) They like to pick on out of state plates. I convinced her to do the driving school option to avoid the ticket and points. One part of the lesson was what to do if you hit a moose. Duck, because your roof is about to cave in!
