I often leave the ear protection on after running the noisy tractor, grinders, etc. since it's not completely quiet here - cars drive by on the road, ravens and magpies make noises. Even more quiet is nice, I think. And I don't need a warm wrench, it just helps my hands feel better.

Sleeping is generally fine - until I wake up way too early (for whatever reason) and can't go back to sleep because the brain cell gets going at 130 mph, with plenty of thoughts that demand attention. Not all bad since I often come up with solutions that never occurred to me during normal awake hours.

What's sucky is that it means even less sleep than the normal, which is between 5-6 hours. Then, every couple of weeks or so, I make up for it by sleeping up to eight hours.

Eating isn't a problem. I almost always eat breakfast and dinner, lunch I often skip to get more done. Well, when at home that is. When on a trip I generally skip eating, for several reasons.
Wonder what all the critters out yer way think of you wearin ear muffs all day...or the 2 or more cars ya pass on the road every 6 months

Two cars?? I wish. It's not bad now, but during tourist season there are times when I have to wait for a while at the stop sign if wanting to go north when entering the main road. Which is if there's a vehicle within a 1/4 mile.
South is no problem, it's a merge.

Then all I might need to do is slow down after taking that curve a bit faster than what the tourist's typical speed is.so I can slink in behind them.

But why do I even bother? You city slickers will probably never understand how good life can be when away from 1/2-tons and donut shops.

Funny thing my property is relatively secluded...(cant see it from the street)...the woods behind me boarder on a street 1/2 mile away...(wet lands nobody can build..)..@ night it's almost dead quiet...but a simple 1/2 mile walk up the street...2 supermarkets..an urgent care..a Lowe's..a liquor store...2 drug stores....3 banks...5 or more eating establishments...a parts store..a barber shop..and carwash...and PEOPLE...if you care to interact....I got the best of ALL Worlds....(y)(y);)
