Hmm. I very rarely put less than 150 or so miles on any of mine, once I start one.

And 800 would be an unusually short trip for the Ram 3500.

It's very nice, actually.

If I leave early, like when needing to be 1,000+ miles away before a business closes for the day, there are times when I can go 150 or so miles before seeing another vehicle.

Of course, that doesn't mean I don't see elk and deer, but those are usually friendlier than many humans anyway.

Yeah, maybe not so much the deer, but still.

Although, we have a few that often hang around the house, apparently having figured out that we're not about to hurt them. DSCN6097.JPG

Yesterday evening there were four elk bedded down in that darker spot in the background, so they also seem to have figured out that this is an alligator free and overall good zone.

8mph tail wind with gusts to 15, everyone (who didn't break their car) was very fast.

I was too aggressive on the launch of the first run (P0AS tires overinflated) and slipped a lot until I was over 100. 204.512 at 1.5mi.

I didn't get the ticket for the 2nd run until today. I had a very nice gentle launch and it ran really strong, until I was about 1sec from the 1.5 line and it bogged. I had to be over 205 before it bogged.

It was a private event and was lightly staffed and they took shortcuts, one being that you didn't get your ticket immediately after the run. Had I known I was so close I would have tried a slower start and try to time the bog closer to the finish.

I'll do a thread with the details when I get home this weekend.

You guys in the east really need to try this! It is truly something special!

My dog would love to play with them. She'd go nuts seeing and smelling them. You're blessed.

The deer aren't afraid of our dog, but he has no interest in them.

And more elk just showed up, earlier than yesterday evening. Notice that some are bedded down. DSCN6103[2].JPG

WOT then suddenly power was reduced, acceleration suddenly stopped. Like letting off the throttle to maintain a speed after accelerating. What all cars will do at 55 when the wackos get back in!
