When was the last time you rode in the backseat on a roadtrip?

More than 30 years ago for me. Mostly because I always had either a more reliable or cooler vehicle than my friends at the time.

In my 30's, I just preferred the comfort of my own vehicle vs the backseat of another. So, I'm driving or at minimum, riding shotgun.

On March 10, 1989 me and 3 of my best friends departed Charlottesville(Crozet) VA. enroute to Norfolk, VA. We took my 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger Special. Cragars and GY Eagle GT's. 200 miles. We all drove, so I was in the backseat of my own car! 😂

Destination. Queensryche & Metallica at Norfolk Scope. 🎸 👍😂 Good Times!

My friends almost always make me drive; but the last time was a trip into downtown Toronto about a year ago - I just sat in the back cracking smart-ass remarks. However, I have taken to sitting in the passenger seat in my wife's truck because I don't care to drive it any more than I have to.

Probably 1967. My dad and my buddy’s dad drove us to the Indy 500. The next two years we had licenses and drove ourselves.

In the nineties went with a couple of friends from Mass to see a car in upstate NY. About three hours each way in back seat of a Chevy heavy Duty crew cab so wasn’t bad at all.

I've always been the driver since I left home, when I was in the Marines, I was the one with a car, so the 3 Buds would get in my car and road trip.

My cousin was stationed at the Army base in Monterey. She was a language interpreter.

Always having the coolest car or biggest truck means I drive the most, for sure. BUT when we roadtrip and swap out drivers, I get car sick almost immediately in the back seat... not so bad in the passenger seat.

The backseat is not bad in that rig

Last couple road trips to Nevada a couple years ago in my '98 Ram quad cab dually and the other with my wife and daughter driving down to Reno in my '74 Challenger for Hot August Nights. Built a 360 for that car (about 400hp) and it was a kick watching my daughter (16 at the time) get her first real experience driving a "real" car on a road trip - great memory (even from that small back seat!)

2 years ago in a 2012 camaro. Actually wasn't to bad but I'm short. Think riding in the back of our Challenger would be just fine
