I asked earlier about whether you guys are talking about replacing wiper refills or the entire assy.

As most of you know, I am cheap, I rarely replace the entire blade assy, it has to be completely gone before I replace it.

There are basically 2 reasons for streaks, wiper damage/flaws, or uneven/inadequate pressure. Cheap wipers work fine for years as long as they have no defects.

The supporting jointed metal assy is another story. The joints can collect dirt and corrode causing friction leading to uneven pressure. Not only that, the same can happen to the arm at the pivot at the spring.

I have had great success cleaning the metal assy that holds the wiper element, and the arm pivot also. Get them clean with soap and water, work the joints to flush out the debris, dry and light oil. I get at least 10y out of the metal blade assy with just replacing the wiper.

I know this is a lot of work, but I would much rather spend an hour and $5 fixing my wipers than $35 replacing them and not fixing the prob!!!

I just stick with Rain-x, because I buy them when on sale at Walmart. However, the Charger still has the original 9 year old wipers, never needed to even turned them on.

Yer "17"....No way jo'se....let me guess....original tires too :giggle::giggle::giggle:....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
It's on its third set of tires. Not because any wore out, but the good ones aged out and the OE Nexens started coming apart (internally) somewhat quickly.

Horn is one of the most important features of a HC, it could prevent tens-of-thousands-of-$ of damage and associated anguish..
When a horn honks in the forest, does it make a sound?

When a "situation" occurs, I hit the brakes and horn simultaneously. If you are just braking, you are not doing everything you can.
And here I thought only little old ladies...and teenage girls were horn blowers...:oops::oops::oops::(
