Ok, I’ll make up some templates for no power steering, if you have hydraulic power steering you just cut a square out, I’ll put that on template what would need cut out.

I’ll get enough poster board to make a few, remember I ended up with covid for Christmas, feeling pretty good today, no fever for 2 days now, so may be a bit before i get out for poster board. Don’t worry, I’ll wash my hands before making them lol.

I'm in this boat. Car is just sitting in the garage...but it's cold and I'm lazy.

Actually I only get 6 days off a month and don't have much time after life is caught up.

You could use a bigger square piece out line it in the square piece and put dimensions through out it with lines and inches

How bout this, I’ll try and get some more of this Pyrol stuff this week, I coat the back of it with this stuff that I’ll have to buy more of, I over spent on car stuff over the last sick week, with being off work I could use some funds. Instead of taking time getting poster board, making tracings, mailing them I just make some of these for you guys out of Pyrol for $50 each PayPal’d and shipped? Nobody PayPal me anything yet because I have to contact my buddy this week and see if they have some scraps around or not. And I have to order some more of this stuff, it coats the under side image.jpg

I have mineral mateials for heat that are good for 1,2oo degrees called mineral wool and also Armacell rubber materials. This stuff is rubber based and good for 1,200 degrees we used on waste heat chillers. Amazing stuff caus one end of the chiller is 28 degrees and the other end comes off a turbine at 1,000 degrees. This heat shield product looks good and flexable with a water retardent vapor barrier. All I can see without looking it up. Getting my STD laptop back on line.

Ok, we are on the same page. I have run different ones on different cars. They are all the same idea but different applications and certain guarantees on uping HP. I used different ones on GMCs autos but the one I found to work on this banged uped H/C is the K & N. They all have the same size intakes, filters, and I find the durability of the K & N works best. On this vehicle. B- Woody has a great product and many others. It depends if you are going to use a twin turbo, minus converters, twin fuel pumps. Best I have found is to speak to a rep from the manufactories of the set up you have or will. As soon as I get mine out of the shop, I will change the engine conponents and may change CAIs. But being in Florida I will stick to the 180 degree thermostat. Some people say that it screws up the timing and other factory componets. But I have run them in 15 different autos with out a problem. When you go and have the timing changed, 1st thing the mechanics will want to do is to install the 180 thermostat cause the engine will advance and run hotter. I have timed my own bikes and cars and do understand the theory and adjustments. A lot of em. Read.

After choking on my black eyed peas,, fer luck. I am going to have my H/C put back together using the new light weight radiator that, 1/2 the weight. Of a factory heat exchanger. Using the factory refrigerant, 6 feet of 3/8 copper tubing, 1- 3 way valve for trans fering and or mixing. Now you have to pick out a control system that would either on or off or mixiing. Don't neceaasrly shop price cause your controls has a lot to do with the functions. A lot of companies have umped on this band wagon and prices will come down. They have just now figured it out. That,, the ice tank is not the answer. Too clumber some, too heavy, too exspensive. I will be having my front in replaced and will share the products I will use or replace with. Happy motoring.

I guess that is why the Z07 is coming out with 3 cooling systems. They have figured out this car will be a winner against the 10 cylinder Lambo.

This stuff is called Pyrol, it’s a insulation board that can make a claimed 300 degree temperature difference in a 1/8” thick piece. Used it where I used to work between 500F blown film die and it’s 45F airing that would sit right on top of the hot die. I coated one side with sticky back high temp insulation foil and spray painted the other side black so it’s less noticeable. My intake tube and snout are now the same temp as the air coming through them verses hot as hell from the hot air the radiator fan blows on the tube if not shielded. Been running it for about 6 months now, no issues. This piece is cut for no hyd power steering pump, if a pump is in place it gets a square cut out of it. It’s hard for me to get this material as it’s like 1000$ for a 4x8 sheet but I get scrap pieces from a guy that still works there but not often unfortunately.

Did this effort fall of the table? I'm still very interested.
