Latest teaser video...

2538 PSI has got to be max cylinder pressure ...

Demon at 808hp was 1958. So 2538/1958 = 1.2962

1.2962 x 808 = 1047HP (HP bump won't be linear...added this to show it's def significantly more than Demon)

Interesting note on the Demon's max cylinder pressure below....the SRT engineers could have easily eclipsed 840hp but didn't since it went past their design tolerances. So by beefing up max cylinder pressure capability Dodge can now aggressively advance timing a lot more than 5 degrees with the E85 tune....interesting!

Maybe...This was how they were grenading engines early on. Just advanced timing with E85 without sufficiently beefing up cylinder pressure capability? Tim said it would be "funny" to talk about it later...Maybe this is it?

PS 135 Bar= 1958 PSI

=====
Fuel and 100-Octane Systems (Demon)
To feed the massive horsepower the Demon is capable of creating, the fuel system needed a boost. Twin, in-tank pumps feed injectors similarly sized to the Hellcat, but with an increase in overall fuel system pressure. The 100-octane mode, included with the $1 Demon Crate, allows the car to increase peak power when activated. The system needs a minimum of 100 average octane in the tank and will actively disable the mode if it detects knock. The real advantage in power and torque in this calibration is the ability to add spark advance due to the higher-octane fuel's resistance to detonation. At peak torque in 100-octane mode, the spark is advanced 8 degrees for a 53lb-ft bump. At peak power, spark is advanced only 5 degrees for an additional 32 horsepower. Engineers were quick to point out that additional ignition timing at peak power did further amp up power production, however it eclipsed the parameters of their design window. Chris Cowland, head of Advanced and SRT Powertrain, explained that the engine is design for a max cylinder pressure of 135Bar and increased ignition timing eclipsed that threshold.

I wonder if they'll run one of these down the strip? I doubt it personally but that would set it off if it ran a good time.
You know the DA won't be on their side to

Vegas isn’t a place to look for good numbers. The actual altitude is 2100 ft. and even on a comfortably cool day, the da will be at 3000. As the temp rises to warm, it can be expected to go beyond 4000. During the summer…. You don’t even want to be there. The temps for next Monday are expected to start in the 50’s and top out around 70 degrees. So overall comfortable and fun to be there.

Im dealing with Bandemere (5800ft). Gets even worse, especially in summer. 9000 DA not unheard of...
I will be moving back to Sea Level Pressure in a couple of years. Will be crazy to 'feel' the +100hp or so for the first time in the Demon and Viper...

Someone probably has me on ignore and missed it lol.

I was saying the opposite. I believe 15k wheels were ordered. It won't be a low number like 300 or 500 but a much higher amount
Hmmm, I dunno. With the other 6 being "limited" I'd be very surprised is the halo was made in larger numbers. We'll know in a few days though.

I would think the same thing but why would Dodge order 15k wheels unless my source was wrong on numbers:unsure:

Because they will be the only items that you can actually purchase from the direct connection catalog.

they were used in testing and that would be a lot of wheels to sell alone. How many buyer are there going to be at 20k+ for 4 wheels?

@vortecd it "could" be some for the production cars, some as spares for damaged wheels to keep as stock for replacements, and some for DC?

More fun with math.....

If Demon was 1958psi and #7 is 2538psi that's a 23% increase.

840 x 1.23 = 1033hp.

Although the Demon numbers were stated as "design limits" so not sure if that's actual or just what it designed to handle.
Good one Speedy. Nice work
