I've owned Ram pickups (9 of em)...for over 20 years...if they fuck up Ram...I just might have to look to Toyota...

Even though it's my DD..and a work truck..(it gets beat up pretty good)..I spend alotta time in it..120/130 k miles in 3 years...I always opt for the limited with all the bells and whistles...(even though I never use them...) my 21 Ram limited has been a great truck

Our 21 2500 Cummins was not holding up very well. At 26K the transmission screwed up and spent 10 days at the dealer plus it kept getting "catch on fire" recalls and I couldn't put it in the garage.

Just became a real hassle and I lost confidence in it.

Exactly what I read. Many of the established designers and engineers are gone or going.

I guess that money and ego are the top guiding factors now?

I didn't like this merger from the start, and it gave me thoughts of the DaimlerChrysler "Merger of equals" back in the late 90s. I tried to be positive about it, but I personally know people that have already left the company because they said it's the same thing again. The French are running the show. They don't understand why North Americans like things a certain way and don't care. It's their way or the highway.

I always find it funny when people whine about the Fiat thing in the early 2010s, say what you want about Sergio but he was a genius and let the North American companies do their own thing. What did we get out of it? The cars we all love, Hellcats, etc they were in better shape as a company than any time in recent years, but here comes the Stellantis merger to screw things up.

FCA had some of the best designs IMO.
I loved the approach they took with their cars in the 2010s.
Now they seemed to be handcuffed to the EV wave. I hope they can do something great but their best products are getting a little dated.
The new GM interior is killer and rivals the Limited/TRX IMO.

The interior in our Tundra is super nice. I was blown away when I 1st saw it. Ram can't hold a candle to it in my opinion.

I've owned a 2020 1500 Longhorn, 2020 3500 Limited and a 2022 1500 Limited and went to a 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate 8 months ago because they finally got a decent interior. I will say the Longhorn/Limited/TRX Rams still have GMC beat on most materials quality, but not by much and I prefer the design/ergonomics of the GMC.
