Could it hurt to reach out to some of the people in those emails and ask for help and state your intentions with the vehicle?

That has been done. I emailed and even got a response a few days before the reveal. Talked to the man himself at the reveal in private. Honestly a very personable and likeable and smart person. He looked happy. But he was not willing to help at the moment......
Also talked to the "Chief Donut Maker" and he also was really cool. I know you guys hate him, but I don't.
Emailed my other connection and he responded he is not involved in marketing or allocations or any of that and cannot help at this point.
I talked to the Owner of my preferred and trusted Dealer this morning on the phone and he read verbatim from an internal email/memo and it was really harsh on the allocations and how they were distributed and the availability of them. Really harsh. Kind of unbelievable.
Also met the Concierge Ladies in person at the event. They jumped up out of their chair and hugged me like I was family they had not seen in a while. So precious. If it was up to them, I would get one at cost. But it’s not.
