GM to lay off 3,300 workers building EVs and batteries as demand slows
General Motors will idle production at the Factory Zero electric vehicle assembly plant in Detroit until Nov. 24 before converting to a single shift in January. The plant builds the Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV pickups, the GMC Hummer EV pickup and SUV, and the Cadillac Escalade IQ SUV. (BLOOMBERG)
