It’s been awhile since an update so here we go.
Car was supposed to be ready last week to pick up. Car is running great but Tommy was doing some street tuning and data logs and the car kept shutting down at high rpm in 4 and 5 gear. We had to cancel our dyno appointment due to this reason. Tim Barth and Tommy were working on the tuning all week last week. Tim saw the issue in the data logs and said it’s the throttle body closing shut at 6400-6500rmp. The VMP 105mm is a great but not for high boosted cars. This ported Magnuson is no joke when it’s at full throttle.
So this is on the way
New GHF 108mm tb. Gear Head was having same issues with multiple throttle body’s including the VMP on there big builds pushing high boost. They said it’s been tested over and over again and will not close up at high rpm.

GH 108mm TB supposed to have stronger internals to help the Tb stay open at max air flow.

Anyone hear of Frankenstein Engine Dynamics?
They specialize in everything related to engine building. Race cars,street cars, motorcycles every thing.
In the future I’m gonna upgrade my stock heads. Thitek is alway 2-3 months backed up.
Frankenstein is about 3-4 weeks.
Just curious and browsing the web.....

I believe in the videos it’s going on twin turbo set up.
Cleetus has a twin turbo Texas Speed motor'd "Corvette" that has held the stick shift record a couple times... that's no show piece, that's the fastest intake on a manual car ever. I believe he is a class winner in a couple of other national events.

I can't say that Frakenstein is well known for their entire builds... and again, ol Cleeter is running a Texas Speed motor... but I'm sure that they can clean up some heads for a Mopar.

My whipple throttle body motor finally died after lots of miles and abuse.

What’s cool is with this throttle body I can finally run the 3.0” pulley with my whipple. I’ve only been able to run that pulley twice successfully without it slamming shut and going limp.

Be curious to see how well it holds up.

I trust Mario allot, so I am expecting some good things.
I’m looking forward to get this new throttle body as well. I ordered it 2 months ago and still on back order. It just sucks waiting on car parts.
GHF has been great with communication and customer service. The company that is making the stronger internals and motor for this TB is on back order as well. Hopefully some good news next week.
Talked to a few people that has the GHF 108mm Tb on there cars and so far so good and no issues. I’m really excited to get it.

I’m thinking at the end of summer putting on my 3.0 pulley and beefing up my heads.
I wanna see how the car does first with the set it has now. Great weather right now here in SoCal.

Some other things I’m seeing and hearing about in the Hellcat world is that it’s not about who has the most HP and boost anymore.It’s all about weight reduction I’m starting to see lot of it on social media and at a lot of shops now.

What do you guys weigh currently?
I have to get a current weight on a good set of scales but I weighed my car stock at a municipal scale and the care weighed 4620 lbs with me in . I have weighed everything I changed and in fighting weight I am approximately 4250 with me in the car . But like I said o want to hit the scales to confirm .

I was at 4520 with my previous setup. I’m looking forward to seeing how much has been removed with the new one. I’ll make a guestiment of 4250 on track weight now.
