I don't know that the soot is anything odd....the orange color may be though  Run any octane additive?

I've not done a plug check on mine since I got the tune dialed in and then I pulled the easiest one I could get to, cyl 2 I believe it was, passenger side front. If those looked good I figure the rest are good as well. Now sending injectors out once a year for a tune up isn't a bad idea IMO if you're gonna put the boost to it on E85.

I bought a "low mileage" set of injectors of of the forum. Just because, I sent them in for cleaning, they were surprisingly "plugged", 5-10% if I remember.

Much cheaper then some other places selling them as a set. They were like $6 a plug

Not much. But I have run some. I figured that’s what the orange was.

How much to clean them? I have never sent a set out to get cleaned. My friend Tim sent his out running 8's on e85 this year and before and after flow was basically the same

I also believe we got a deal for qty
think it was 4 plugs cheaper then 1 per plug but after 4 I don't think it mattered

I've got a whole box of plugs from Orange Krush. I need to go out and see what they are, 2309s I think. Back in the day you had to be careful to use the right plug as some were taper seat (SRT 6.1 blocks) and some were gasket seat (5.7 blocks). I'm remembering the Hellcat is gasket seat.

When I was looking around at plugs there was a guy that said his tuner told him to get a certain NGK. I pulled it up and compared it to the 2309 and the difference was it had a tapered seat. It was the same heat range. The Hellcat uses gasket seat like the 2309

as many of you know I bought a tune for my car this summer. Well I had tons of issues with knock and fuel trims being way off on take off causing the car to be a little lean. Well I started tuning myself and I was fighting the tune A lot. Well I eventually made the car better I thought. But I’m guessing this plug has been bad for some time. Did the tune from the tuner cause this issue or was this plug bad already and it caused the issues to the tune I paid for. Idk. Not blaming anyone. Just curious. I bought the car used so who knows.
But this is cylinder 4 both plugs are broke as you can see. No misfire codes or anything. No idea. I can’t believe the car was running like it was. I had no signs a plug was bad. I just thought it would be good to check everything out over winter.
Wow! Something is not right with that tune. Your A/F has got to be way off and I would want to know what burned that electrode off like that? Is it detonation? Wonder what the top of your pistons look like?

AFR is good in the tune now. I spent all summer retuning the car. As said above I wasn’t happy with my purchased tune. as far as driving around town my tune was 100 percent better. Odly enough the car always ran fine full throttle. My tune and previous tuner. Previous tuners injector data wasn’t the greatest when I’d take off from a launch it’d go to .83 then fluctuate to .89 or something like that. So lean and then there’d be some knock. I dialed in fuel trims and fixed that issue.

Are you using ID or FIC injectors?

Size?
