Hey everyone she’s home and damn she’s nice and I forgot how nice these Chargers are. Just comfortable as can be and gnarly in a heart beat. And the build sheet is pretty cool being February of last year she was built on the 22nd of February and my Birthday is the 24th. I never would have guessed last February this would be in my possession close to a year later.

She’s in good hands no worries plenty of Mopar power around her and signage to offset that negative energy lol.

The Shelby GLH or Shelby 4 door Lancer were about the hottest Mopars you could get in the 80’s
I remember the Chrysler Conquest in 1988. Fast for a 4cyl at the time.

Drove her today and love the all season tires in the winter months. I have the Mustang GT and Toyota Supra with the Summer Tires which once its 45 degrees or less the tire manufacturers recommend not to drive on them. And I truly hate that option on these cars being in the mid Atlantic area. Thank goodness for Dodge offering the all season . And being it’s 30 all day here the Hellcat is perfect for the road time today and tinted out the windows.

I grew up in the 80s and learning to drive in the 90s my used car pool was 80s Camaro IROCs, and Trans Am GTAs. Didn't care for the Mustang (really never have). I ended up buying a 1984 Camaro Berlinetta (Star Wars - digital dash) from a family friend who was an aircraft mechanic. Car had 116,000 miles and was in really good shape.

I remember my Dad and I looked at a Firebird Formula and remember the owner telling my Dad it was a safe car because "of how many times he tried rolling it." Needless to say I went with Carmaro from the family friend but I really wanted a Trans Am.

I don't remember Mopar cars in the 80s, at least didn't pop up on my radar. Were the 80s a low time for Mopar? Just curious?
Chrysler sat out the 80's while Ford sold every 5.0L mustang they could build, and GM sold every muscle car they had (Monte Carlo SS, Camaro IROC's, Turbo Buicks, etc). My wife had an 83 Mustang GT 5.0, and for the times, I was very impressed by that car (Chrysler had some turbo 4 cyl cars during that time, but no performance V8's). After lving through the disappointment of performance cars from the late 70's, the early 5.0 Mustangs and Camaro Z-28's were a welcome change of pace. I bought my first 5.0 after my 74 Cuda got side-swiped by a drunk at a red light. I owned multiple 5.0 Fords in the years to follow becasue they were cheap, plentiful, easily modified, and fun to drive. But.....during that time, I also bought a 72 Challenger R/T with a 340, a 64 Dodge Polara that I put a 440 into, 2 Power Wagons, a few Ramchargers and numerous Ram trucks thrown in for good measure, so Mopars were always in arms reach for me, and still are to this day.

My first 2 vehicles were Mopars, and I'm all in on FCA products, and while I love the "Mopar or No Car" mantra....I just can't go with just one make.

I like Corvettes and Mustangs too.
I've got the bug for a 5.0 Mustang stick car to add to the stable. All of my older ones were really fun to drive.

Definitely at least a PP1 version. I don't know if the PP2 is worth it to me or not, and there's a ton of PP1's out there. I've got my eye on a few low mileage ones right now.
If you can get the Magnaride option on the PP1 I think that's perfect for the money and fun. But the Magnaride option is rare just so you know and its significant difference in ride IMO.

In owned the GT350 for a very short time and I like my GT Coyote motor Over the Voodoo motor. The GT350 has to be run at 4800 rpms to have any life and they drink oil. I have the 10spd auto which is fun and the stick is nice as well.

I found a PP1 with Magnaride on it. I had Magnaride on the Camaro SS I had last summer, and it rode really well, especially on the highway.
