Just a heads up from an inside source. These numbers and information are all "unofficial" until Ram confirms them (However, my contact is usually very reliable).

Base Ram TRX starting price just under $70k
702hp 650tq
702 "Special Launch" editions will be made (they come fully loaded) and will be priced just under 90k
Reveal will be 8/17 as indicated above by Ram, and they officially go on sale 8/18

I noticed leather, heated seats, etc all listed under optional stuff. Gives me hope that the 'base' TRX might actually come in close to the base Raptor MSRP.

Fewer options means less weight, which equals better performance, and costs less.
An added bonus is that there's less to go wrong.

Heck, I usually try to get rid of mandatory stuff, not add more.

Depends on what the options are to me. It's already a heavy truck, a little bit extra won't hurt. But I understand, some options like advanced safety or tech groups I just don't care for.

Leather wrapped shift knob - So guessing it will have shifter assembly between driver / passenger seats.

Honestly though, I love having the rotary shifter on the dash panel on my Gen 5 1500, it frees up so much more space.

If there was a striped down base starting at $5XK I’d be all up in this within 2 years. But in the $70’s, I prefer to have both a Challenger and a Ram instead.

Seriously?? That darn rotary shifter in my 1500 is the worst thing about the whole car, I think.
That's closely followed by how much even a small empty trailer affects it.

Other than that I like the little thing quite a bit. Okay, I would certainly like it a lot more without the touch screen.

Yes. The driving mode, launch control, and 4wd buttons are where the shift knob used to be.

I agree with Talonguy. Knob frees up console space. Works just fine. Although a normal-ass column shifter would be fine too on a truck.

Idk, there's an awful lot under that 'optional' heading that will definitely be standard. Springs, sunvisors, clearance lights, map pockets, etc. Pretty sure they'll all have those.
