That is a lot of money in shipping for just a repair. Most people on here can rebuild diffs.I have been a tech since 91. Have way more tools for engines, diffs and transmissions I know what to do with.And with no warranty either way its going to be a hard sale. IMHO you would make more money selling parts to people or at least shops. Shims that are currently used are from a dana 44. Would be nice to have the crush sleeve though.
The unfortunate side of that is that lets say I sell to shops, what prevents them from undercutting me on my own MSRP? It's hard to enforce a minimum price floor unless that shop gets caught and by then it's already too late, damage is already done financially. I am incurring the cost of the relationship, the tariffs, the shipping and the actual product which I have to buy hundreds of at a minimum to get a good price.

@fubar569 yes I plan to reach out to IMS and let them know we no longer have to cannibalize clutches but that won't happen till I have the ink dry. We just assembled a IMS in house doing this and it was a PITA. So here is some tech info 1 friction/2 steels is the normal, this is stacked twice on one side. This is considered a 40% LSD. What is instructed by billet or can be done with the ZF is to stack it twice and make it an 80% lsd.

So do you ever see any damage with the pinion or ring gears? Are you able to get them as well?

What did you ever figure out?
Not much outside of what is posted in this thread. The parts needed for a rebuild are hard to come by, but it looks like @fumanchu182 will have a solution to that soon.
