I'm thinking that it's getting time to start upgrading the driveline components in the Charger since @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC is having it run 1.4 60' hits.

What is everyone having success with??

I've come to accept, very quickly, that it's going to be a 1 piece.

Do you have cradle lockouts?

I saw some on hhpracing with hooks built in for strapping down in the trailer. I like that idea.

They have hooks?

That could be useful. I may need to be trailering my car in the spring.

A year or two ago, I saw an ad from Mark Williams Ent. that they were entering the modern muscle driveshaft scrum. I mention them strictly based off their reputation in the drag racing driveline market - they are known for top-notch products and are proud of them.

I've been looking at them for a while. I have a hard time paying almost $5K for a driveshaft. Probably over $5K when you add tax and shipping.

Yeah. Used to be right around 3k.

At 5k they can go on a quest for the biggest bag of phallus and consume it.

@DavidKFla I think depending on what ET you will continue to race. Going Faster than 10's then you will have to think about more safety and strength.

5K is what a 9 inch rear cost back in 2015 when John had one installed in his "Top Cat"

I would spend this money for racing 9.50/10.0s
https://highhorseperformance.com/pe...lenger-charger-300-5-7-6-2-6-4l-rwd-p4d-dirs/

I think The P4D Brace is the "Best Peace of Mind" Part installed on my Hellcat. It's been upgraded. Saving the Diff Box from breaking will help keep your driveshafts and halfshafts safe.

I would also choose AAD parts too. They came later then BMR and wanted to beat the competition with better stronger parts.
https://highhorseperformance.com/dodge/charger/2015-hellcat-charger/suspension/?_bc_fsnf=1&brand=293

Adding parts for safety and strength was highly important to husband when wanting to reach his goal for 8's. It was very difficult back then, because mostly it was all the SOS parts that we had been use to with our prior to the Hellcats SRT8's and racing to the 8's and let me say Racing and Breaking to the 8's.

Dodge built the Hellcats with the knowledge from our MSHS racing group......We gave the Hell and they gave us the Hellcat!

We finally have part vendors that have stepped up to the plate and are coming out with some of the Best "Tested" parts ever for our Modern Hemi cars.

Linda :)

I recently added a PST Carbon Fiber to mine. It’s tested to 2800 lbs torque. The same 3.75” shaft is available for the Hellcat now. The only caution would be that you will need to do a serious job of heat shielding the exhaust if you are running on the street. I think that shaft is running right around $2k. It’s super light and balanced/rpm limit rated to 14,000 rpm. E6561931-A616-43C1-8AA3-088DF4AB8D6C.jpeg 76B8D43F-6181-480C-86EB-4401E51D91CF.jpeg 152C5654-69F1-4918-BACF-4F70EC976D2A.jpeg

I didn't realize you were still on a stock hellcat driveshaft. That absolutely needs upgraded. Axles may hold and live a happy life and they may not. If you can afford axles I would recommend them. Gforce outlaws have held my low 1.2 60s. Renegades are a strong axle as well and prolly all you would need. If you can source redeye axles 1.4s are no problem for those.

This is why I'm wanting a soft launch.

@Linda's Hell Cat I have both the front and rear diff braces so that's covered.

10.0 is where I'm settling this year.

@Marc W I'm thinking an aluminum one since I'm investigating doing some drag and drive events.

. The issues with the aluminum shafts that are commonly used has been unacceptable vibration and on occasion, crappy quality welds that have led to failure. I will guess that the majority are ok and we only hear about the ones that have issues. I ran a DSS for a couple years and in fact ran in the 8,s at full weight with one and never had a problem. You’re in Florida and so is PST. They also have aluminum shafts and would be worth seeing what they have to say about their Hellcat menu.
