17.43.01 is the last one to be offered for download. 18.43.01 is OTA only. I do think the OTAs are being rolled out regionally. My ‘14 Jeep and ‘16 HC were updated within days of each other.
And where are you located?

Yeah, I'm finding that number oddly old...

Something about my VIN doesn't qualify??? The link above says I only qualify for "17.43.01 NAFTA", released in 2018-03-23
I'm beginning to think they yanked this update. When I look up my VIN just now it says I need the 17.42.01 update, before it said 18.43.01 :sick:

I will be avoiding any and all UConnect updates. The last time I did an update, I lost Sport function, shift light and almost everything else. Turns out, the update re-wrote my BCM and caused it to think I was an A8 SXT. Replacing the head unit was the initial attempt at fixing it, but because the head unit isn't the BCM, obviously it didn't fix it.

Had to have a Star Case opened, and the regional Star Tech had to pull the original programming from Detroit and re-write my BCM. He told me afterwards never to update the UConnect if I can avoid it, they're always having such problems with UConnect, which is a separate company and apparently doesn't play nice with FCA.

If it’s an OTA automatic update, how would we avoid it. I do know the old Uconnect in my 2015 is not the same company or features as the Uconnect in my 2019. First thing I noted was no Pandora in my 2019. Also Car Play in my 2019 sucks IMVHO.

You have a Pandora icon without hooking your phone to the car? In the old Uconnect Pandora was part of the package. It was separate from my phone. As for Car Play sometimes it will and sometimes it won’t work.

I want my update. Well maybe not .

[RANT]

Odd thing is that the 3G icon has been on, solid, for over a month. I don't have a wifi subscription, but it was on, every time I started the car. I assume the software was being downloaded, over this period of time.

Some people said this 3G icon is a phone connection status, but not so much. 4 bars, 4gLTE, here... everywhere I drive, locally. Besides, it would indicate 3G status, even though the phone was nowhere near the car.

Now that the update is installed, the icon is gone and the bars icon is greyed out.

I wonder if there's a way to disable the cell antenna? I'll never use the assistance, or panic button and who cares about updates? I don't even use the maps and that's not what's being updated, anyway.

Just too risky, to gamble on these damned updates, because something new always breaks. I feel like I dodged a bullet, with this one.

Sad thing is, they completely disable audio, on the radio, and push the update screen to pop up, EVERY time you hit a soft key, until the update is installed. This really sucks.

Where is the opt-out form, UConnect?
