Don't forget to leave "open spots" for the lift when routing the tubing for the floor heat.

I had 2x2x2 foot "blocks" poured in the floor where the lift would go. Unfortunately the contractor's drawing was off by a foot, so sure enough, I drilled into the Pex on the third hole.
Thanks Jimmy, but no floor heat except in the master bathroom per the lady’s list. Certainly would never think of floor heat in a garage area. That is shit for inefficient compared to simple (read comparatively no brainer - INEXPENSIVE) forced air in that leaky airspace no matter how good you think you are.

Sure feel better today. Been doing just that. Got done with that bottom body detailing on a chair. I need to replace some wraps (the rear flairs) and that some of that battered gray bottom trim this year. About to get right after the All-in-One Ceramic. The car was not driven or washed enough last year to have anything that needs corrected that I can see yet. Maybe I’ll do the hood and around it when I take a good look at it.

Well once I got into the top red part it certainly did not require any correction. Got a coat of the All-in-One Ceramic on all but the top hood. It is smooth! That will just need to wait for the wheels/tires after I run way, way south for a while on two weeks. Going to do the sway/oil tomorrow and be out of the crawling under it part. So the wheels and top hood will be it. Probably do an interior spiff and it will be ready for action!

MSO for the 170 came today, I didn't realize they put the HP on it. I haven't looked under the hood yet, maybe I should.

And why does everyone call it a MSO?!?!?! I called it a Cert of Origin and everyone else called it a MSO!!!

Would've never thought of it if the little garage in the guesthouse hadn't had floor heat.

It's absolutely great to pick up a tool off the floor and it's warmer than it was in the toolbox. Another big plus is that it's quiet. We had forced air in the house in CA, woke me up every time it came on. Here only the barn doesn't have floor heat...it doesn't have any heat.

That number rings a bell. I've also seen 49.1 hp on an MSO. Don't remember which vehicle...but it sure wasn't a D170.

Thanks. Ha, must not have driven much and I do remember rarely washing it last year. Just checked, drove almost 2,000 miles. I remember just driving it dusty and not being that anal about it- a lot. Not enough miles and no track days. That shit is going to change this year! The finish sure did not look like too many things if any were pulled across it to dry last year.

@Jimmy N. never needed a “warm wrench” or have ever thought about it. Really, Jimmy? A 60 degree wrench (based on my usual air temp) is plenty “warm” dude. You need warmer shit in the hand, this is not the place to tell us about it.:ROFLMAO:

Also my forced air in the garage bothers me about as much as the forced air heat that we enjoy along with the forced air A/C year around here in this despicable state of MN.

With arthritis in my fingers (too), a warm wrench is SO much nicer to grab than a cold one. Kind of the opposite of when working outside in SoCal and having to wear gloves because the tools got so damn hot in the sun.

Last spring I was forced to endure the air in Phoenix one night. Needless to say, there's A/C in my friend's house, which made the usual noises. Yes, I slept (sort of) but that was thanks to having been up for about 20 hours and then drink quite a bit.

White noise machine or use the phone for even more good tones. I do not hear an another thing all night. Learned that because I slept in strange places for my entire career all week. That was more than 40 years worth of hotels etc.

Never considered the temp of any hand tools unless they remain in the sun for too long myself. I know I have the pre-requisite for wrench hours.

I do want to hear things, in case there's something that doesn't sound right. Wouldn't want to mask one noise with another. Have been blessed with nearly complete quietness for so long that I'm beyond used to it.

There's a reason I don't stop at motels at night and keep driving instead. I couldn't sleep anyway, and not only because of all the noises. Nervously looking out the window every 10 minutes to check if the 3500 and trailer (plus whatever is on the trailer) is still there isn't conducive to good sleep, either.
