Currently it’s the Trackhawk. 90% of the public has no idea what it is.
High Output V6...?

The easy answer would be the non-black '86-87 Buick Turbo Regals (T-type and Turbo T). The 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am is another option, kind of exclusive at 1500 units (muh Demon is rare), but it's plain white wrapper is a nice touch as it looks just like another GTA.

But, for me it would be the 1989 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350; take off the stickers and it looks much like any other V6 Firechicken. Lighter than the GTA or IROC with all the same running gear and the torquey L98 350.

Eh, on the firebirds as sleepers. People still saw them and new what they were.(name) But the regal definitely. Most average people didn't even know about them. They shocked a lot of people on the road. They could probably still just blend in, in gray today.

The 1971 Pontiac Lemans T-37 with the optional 455 was a sleeper

RefrIgerator white Plymouth Belvedere
Oh, BTW, with a factory Hemi and four speed.
No one could have seen that coming.
Dodge needs more of those vast sedans with ridiculous power options to further humiliate GM and Find Other Rides, Dude.

^^😂

There was a time when the modified van was definitely a thing, then somehow it got associated with it being the pervert van trying to pick up kids.

Not exactly sure how that leap was made. 😳
Women got to vote, which led to them working overtime to seize power everywhere they could and destroy masculinity in all forms except lesbianism.

If you have been living on a different planet, watch what happens to female murderers or criminals, and males.
Female divorcees and males
Females caught red-handed having sex with underage boys versus men doing the same with girls.

Clare Bronfman versus Bill Cosby
Heidi Fleiss versus anyone

But, yes, until men take back the civilization they built, you will see a continuning condemnation of anything men like, with sluthood, abortion, using children as payment hostages, lesbianism, exalted as being above godliness. (IF women are the ones doing the first three.)

Feminism. "I service horses on the intenet for money, and YOU HAVE TO RESPECT MEEEEE!!!"

Want to see a capsulized version of the End Game Western Woman? Watch The book of Eli.
A) Deceving murderer
B) Whore
C) Whore's daughter who's also a whore sold into it by her mother
D) Cannibal

DSMs. Back in the 90s, nobody realized the can of whoopass that could be unleashed with some basic mods (this one had > basic)

Agreed. Had onw back in 98 that I learned to drag race with. 13.5s back than caused a lot of anger with Mustang owners. Good old Diamond star motor... next would have been the Galant VR4.

Probably, one of these.

Times would improve a lot with good tires.
Pontiac Catalina... one of many good sleepers.

https://www.hemmings.com/blog/article/1963-pontiac-catalina/

1989 Taurus SHO - that gave a few folks a surprise lol

Have to say that all of those pale and are basically laughable compared to today, but at the time, they were pretty hot shoes.

Here’s another sleeper, but a road racer. A buddy and I went to the Waterford Hills track when we were still in high school. An ugly grey ‘64 Tempest started at the end of the field and we thought what the hell is that thing doing out there with the Corvettes, Porsche’s and a Lotus Super Seven. The flag drops and it starts passing everything (Waterford Hills is really tight with hardly any straightaway) except one car and finished second. We were dumb founded. A couple months later I read in a magazine that it was a group of Pontiac engineers doing a shake down run for the Trans Am series.

The birthplace / bastard brother of the GTO.... nice story.

Speaking of which, the 2004-2006 GTO was a sleeper in my opinion. Few people really knew what it was and with the 6.0 NA tossing 400/400 it was pretty damn fast for the time and was ridiculously mod friendly.

I loved that series of Turbo Regal. Always thought they were cool and they were quick for the time. Connecticut State police used them in the 80's as undercover speed enforcement. Wish I had bought one before they went through the roof on price.

Still not sure why they started with a Tempest that was already 5 years old when we first saw it. Guess they wanted the ultimate sleeper. Firebird would have been the obvious choice.
