Not sure I don’t get caught up
In the so called limited build cars they never hold their values.

I'm going to my dealer tomorrow to talk numbers. I like Granite Gray so far. I'm telling my GF I'm going out for a gallon of milk!

FYI, based on base price of RAM TRX you are paying $103 (rounded) per horse power. Based on the base price of the Ford Raptor you are paying $118 (rounded) per horse power.

Over priced. Blah styling. Looks like it has its mouth hanging open, but no tongue sticking out. Juvenile cartoon dinosaurs on hood and console show, mainly, which truck it is that RAM is afraid of. I'll pass.

Also, on another point, I understand why Ford, etc..., don't do this, but there is a market out there for the same kind of off-road capability but in a Expedition EL or Suburban type package. This is mainly left to the aftermarket at this point. I could never pay what they ask for the TRX, for example, because I need more and better seating and cargo space for the family.

I wouldn't say overpriced. The Ram Runner kit from Mopar was 15k when it was briefly available back in 2012. Then you needed fenders, wheels, tires, and then likely install and paint.

Dirt King will do it all but its 20-25k on top of the price of your truck.

A new Rebel is 45k. I think pricing is fair.

I understand your point, but not the pricing part. Most of the TRX builds above are coming in near 90K. That's a hefty bit of money.

Yeah mine is mid 70s + TTL. I'm coming from an Express with maybe 2 options checked. The TRX in pure base form has all the bells and whistles I need. However, i opted for level 1 because thats how i get heated seats and hydro blue. Wife wants the seats and i wanted the color.

I couldn't spend 90k on this truck

A loaded Raptor is $75k+, IMO the TRX is $10k better, that gets you to $85k easy...

Yeah, and I bet(hope) in a few years I will be able to pick up a nice one for $67k like I paid for my Redeye :)

I truly feel the TRX will be an exact Trackhawk Sales comparison. Their only so many people who will justify this purchase and it will be a gas hog for sure. And honesty you can pickup a hell of a Diesel optioned truck that will do so much more than the TRX (not Baja racing) and have 1000 foot pounds of torque and 450HP which these Diesel Trucks pull like crazy. So summing it up this will be a niche truck and would not count on many in the used market at give away prices. Kinda like the Trackhawks which are holding their values very well and not many out there.

Right now, I'm only worried about building my shop again. I'm in a financial position that lets me spend a little fun money. Gonna work on getting a compressor so I can start doing more work in there. Hopefully get back into a little body repair.

I've decided to hold off on getting an SRT... Just not financially a good idea for the moment, sadly... Though, my new salesman at Dishman Dodge is certainly pressing me on the new 2020 Hellraisin widebody they just got... If I had the money, I would certainly do it...
