O and had only a small idea of what I was doing
I know, to put those hubs back are a PITA. Been there done with that.
That's why I was trying to give you suggestions as much as I could on witch way to go at it.
You'll know now next time.
Hope you get your axles soon.

@jonx96 another tip for the next time -
1. - I have a 3/8 cordless ratchet for the front vertical diff bolts (15mm), front (15mm) & rear exhaust bolts (13mm) & DS bolts, much faster.
2. - 13mm & 21mm ratchet wrench for exhaust hanger bolts (13mm) & horizonal diff bolts that are hard to get to (21mm)
3. C channel plate about 8" > 10" long with hole in the middle to bolt to floor jack, to lower the diff & to lift the diff back into place.

These things make a world of difference in the speed of this job.

I did not have a 21 ratchet wrench. You can guess how long that took….

, if the diff is supported with floor jack, take the 15mm vertical bolts out first then you can slide the diff forward to loosen & get out the 21mm horizonal bolts, diff is now down then pop out & take out 1 axle at a time.

So I never got the exhaust on went down the road. I can’t tell if there was a hum or not. Almost sounded like a huning speaker.

No howels or anything.
but it does sound like two dirty washers when you rub them together so I’m assuming the clutches

While turning or just going down the road? Going straight I don't think would be the clutches. Wonder if it is brakes or e brake?

I’m thinking it is brakes at this point. The wheels were also rubbing. But I think I’ve fixed that

Clutches should make no noises going straight

I’ll adjust the parking brake after dinner and see what happens

Noise was the shield just barley hitting the rotor.
I initial instectead and it looked like plenty of clearance. But since the rotors aren’t rusted on yet it has some movement when tightening lugs down. So I bent it back a little and now we are good to go. To bad snow this week in the forecast.

Seeing as how you have snow forecasted can you do me a favor and keep it down there so I can get out one more time?
