Tire technology has changed since 40 years ago. The Michelin Pilot Sports are great. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at them. They are a top notch performance tire and as safe as anything you can find on wet or dry roads. I had some Continental Extremes and they were hard to balance (had two of them out of round that could not be force balanced) and they wore out twice as fast as I expected.
The Continentals only lasted about 20K miles on any of the Mercedes but they're alignment is very aggressive. So I've been told.

I actually had the same exact problem with my MPS4s haha!

Brand new from Discount Tire, couldn’t get the vibration to go away. They balanced them 3 different times. I finally move the fronts to the back and the backs to the front, the vibration changed, and we guess and replaced both rear tires (Discount did for free obviously).

Car drove fantastic after that. For me, between the Continentals or the Michelins, I’d buy whichever one I could get or whichever one is one sale. Both very good tires.

I put new Michelin Pilot Sports on my Daytona a few years ago and the car literally felt more responsive performance wise and handled noticeably better than the Continentals I had just replaced. Smooth as silk from the get go too!

I spent a few hour looking at tires yesterday. Wanted to get some new fronts. I was looking last year at Nitto G2 and they were around $400 a pair. This year they are more then $500 a pair. I ended up going with Yokohama advan v105 for $326 shipped through Tire Rack. Can't see spending $200 more on front tires. I hate buying tires:(

275/40 not the size you are looking for. I wouldn't run 305's on the front of my Hellcat but do on the rear

This is a totally different animal. I want it to turn and handle while having a good ride quality on the street. Don't see me taking it to the track again.

They're backordered.
If those are what you want you may still be able to order them and get $110 off. I would look anyway to save money of tires

I wouldn't put these on the Charger.

I’m going to attempt to order a set of MPS4’s from my TR Rep tomorrow: 275/40/20’s and 305/35/20’s. Tire rack website says they’re in stock.

Apparently they now have them. I'm going to check with my local tire store, those guys always takes care of me.

Read the whole thread. He doesn't like the stock tires on the Challenger. Has nothing to do with the Hellcat
