Yes, many l-o-n-g trips between Citrus and Elder Ford in Tampa in the vibra-lounger special - all for nothing as no one could/would fix the car.
Ferd bought it back after almost a year of BS for full price (only 1200 miles on the clock - most of which were back & forth to the dealer + them 'test driving' it).

My 2nd and last major disappointment with a Ferd product, I'd ride a big wheel before buying another vehicle from them.

We would only drive a Mercedes until the mid 2000s model years. My last one was a 2011 E550 and it was toast at 48K.
Wife test drove a 2021 and never finished the test drive.

The best one that I had was a 1985 Pontiac Safari wagon it was a theft recovery that I bought at a salvage auction. Puppy ran forever but the suspension gave out around 225K.

Sounds more like a Florida problem than a GM problem.

I bet my FCA/Stellantis vehicles would rust, too, if I lived in a swamp. Then again, rust would be among the least of my worries with all the gators and snakes around.
