Added to AeroF16's post delivery inspection list ...

- inspect, loosen and retorque the lug nuts. [wrenchin]
Haha probably! But this time it’ll be in my garage, with the proper tools to get any job done!

Jeep will scoot over, BMW next to the Jeep, Hellcat in its own bay away from the kids haha. The third bay is like 2.5 cars deep, that’s where all the tools hide!

Well she made it safe and sound. Pretty dirty but it’s only 20 degrees right now, so I’m going to wait until after lunch to go wash it.

After that, I’m gonna throw it up on the Quickjack and go through it, make sure it didn’t get tagged or something on the way here.

And we do know now. Stupid?? Maybe your house. Nice house. Checked on my H/C today and will be ready to come home Friday. sinse the whole front end will have new saiten paint, I am having the rest of the car repainted. Double clear coats. Be driving like grand ma. Next month the installation of the forced induction chiller. Going to order next week and may install it myself. Pretty simple. Get ready for summer that hits here 1st of March. Drops OAI by 30 degrees.

As clean as she’s going to get until I either heat my garage or it gets warmer!

Is that the skip shift thing?

I drove it around town a bit today and it never once forced me to do a 1-4 shift. Previous owner said he didn’t do the skip shift delete or anything.

I’m gonna sell this JLT intake as well. Too loud for my liking. He threw the factory intake in the trunk, so I’m going to put that back on.

Only other thing I want to do is installed the Barton when it warms up and search around for some Brass Monkey wheels.

CDV = "Clutch Delay Valve"

I pulled mine out, couldn't hardly notice a difference???

For casual driving, I've learned to do a 1st to 3rd shift, gets rid of the problem of getting forced into 4th.

Skip Shift and CDV removal are two different things but both enhance the M6. At low speed the 1-4 shift is enabled and it's annoying. If your getting on it in the least bit, it's not noticeable. I put put around until my oil is up to temp, so for 20.00 it was a no-brainer for me. Actually got it from a guy for 10.. inc. shipping. The CDV removal provided consistency to the clutch engagement for lack of a better term. I believe it was OEM to help with driveline shock for folks who don't know how to drive a standard.
Congrats on the car, it looks great. Love the hood! Brass Monkeys would be nice for sure, I always liked them.

Definitely complete opposite of my experience. I noticed it right away...even before I knew it could be done, when I was driving it for the first couple of weeks, I was beside myself trying to figure out why the engagement point kept changing. I was driving manuals daily since I was 15 and this had my questioning my ability.

Oddly, I don't think that I've experienced the skip shift in mine. Does the car put any message on the screen when it locks you out? I also tend to drive gingerly until at least the coolant is up to temp...no flatout until the oil is up to temp.

I’ve made a few trips around town today and the clutch seems fine to me and I have not experienced the skip shift, driving rather gingerly as well.

Only thing I’ve noticed is the gearbox is a little loud at low speed, like 1st shifting into second. More noise than I’d expect coming up through the shift boot. Doesn’t sound bad per se, just sounds like maybe there should be some insulation there?

Or maybe I’m too used to my BMW being super quiet haha.
